Rilat Begins Hunt for ASCS National Tour Title This Weekend at Devil's Bowl

Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (March 13, 2018) - Travis Rilat's return to the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com begins this weekend at his home track.

Rilat, who has joined forces with BDS Motorsports to compete full time on the tour for the first time since 2009, will race on Friday and Saturday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the 45th annual Spring Nationals.

"I'm excited to be back on the ASCS National Tour," he said. "Bryan Sundby and everyone at BDS Motorsports will work hard to give me a great car each night. It's been a while since I've been on the road full time, but I have a lot of laps at most of the tracks we go to so we're confident. And it couldn't start at a better track than Devil's Bowl."

Rilat has produced at least one top-10 finish at the half-mile oval during each of the last 13 years, including a pair of top 10s last season. He earned Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour triumphs at the track in 2002 and 2006.

"Devil's Bowl is one of the tracks that I've raced at the most in my career," he said. "It's unique so the more experience you have there the better, which bodes well for us."

Rilat and BDS Motorsports have found a lot of success together in a short amount of time. Rilat made his debut with the team last fall at Devil's Bowl Speedway, where he charged from 21st to 11th before finishing eighth the following night.

The duo has scored six straight top 10s since then, including three top 10s in Florida last month.

"The more we race together the better we will be," Rilat said. "I think we've gotten off to a strong start together and I'm looking forward to what this season will entail."
