Jonathan Cornell On Top With ASCS Warrior At U.S. 36 Raceway

CAMERON, Mo. (August 18, 2017) Jonathan Cornell got the job done Friday night at U.S. 36 Raceway with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps for his fourth regional triumph of the season, and 35th overall with the ASCS Warriors.

Back-to-back wins for the Sedalia native at the U.S. 36 Raceway in 2017, Cornell trailed the top spot the opening four laps as Mile Paulus showed the way. Taking over on the fifth revolution, Cornell led the remainder of Friday's feature event.

Shayle Bade crossed fourth with fellow Nebraskan, Matt Richards, in fifth. Brian Beebe, J.R. Topper, Ricky Stangl, Lane Stone, and Chad Jarrett made up the remainder of the field.

Tommy Bryant On Top With ASCS Gulf South At Heart O' Texas Speedway

WACO, Texas (August 18, 2017) Three leaders later at the Heart O' Texas Speedway, and the one on the point when the checkered flag dropped was Tommy Bryant, as the driver of the SawBlade.com No. 28 picked up his second victory of the 2017 season with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region.

Career win No. 13 for Bryant with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region, Friday's A-Feature began from the fifth position as Ray Allen Kulhanek took off with the race lead. Collected by a lapped car with 14 laps complete, the race resumed with Caleb Martin at the front of the pack.

Working down to the closing laps, Martin would see his first win of the season ripped from his grasp as the right rear on his No. 51 expired on Lap 21 to leave Bryant the final five laps to get the job done.

Washington's Seth Bergman crossed second with Dalton Stevens coming from eighth to grab the final podium step. Scottie McDonald fourth was trailed by Jacob Lucas to complete the top-five. Michelle Melton advanced six positions to sixth with Dustin Gates seventh. Moving forward 10 spots, Tyson Hall crossed ninth. Zane Lawrence finished 10th.

For Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region races next at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday, August 19.

Sweet Victory For Jeremy McCune With The ASCS Frontier Region

ROCK SPRINGS, Wy. (August 18, 2017) Snapping a winless streak in ASCS competition that stretched back to 2009 with the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region, Montana's Jeremy McCune went to Victory Lane with the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region at Wyoming's Sweetwater Speedway on Friday night.

Non-stop for 25 laps, McCune's victory is made even sweeter as it was just over a month ago that he was cleared by doctors to return to competition following an on track incident in May that left him with second and third-degree burns on his legs and ankles.

Coming through the field from sixth, South Dakota's Ned Powers crossed second with Zac Taylor posting a third place finish in his first attempt with the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region.

David Hoiness fourth was trailed by Logan Forler to make the top-five. Rich Martin was sixth with Colorado's Patrick Bourke in tow. Mindy McCord, Chauncey Filler, and Ben Holmberg completed the top-ten.

The Brodix ASCS Frontier Region returns to Sweetwater Speedway on Saturday, August 19.
