Michael Miller Wires ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints At Hattiesburg
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (September 1, 2017) Getting a reprieve from the rains that have ravaged the Gulf Coast, the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints hit the Hattiesburg Speedway on Friday night with Michael Miller leading flag to flag.
Trailing team mates Terry Gray and Morgan Turpen on the start, Miller was able to get by both No. 10 entries for the point. Stopped during the race for a massive crash involving the No. 23b of Brain Bell, the Tennessee native ended up through the catch fence and into the side of Timmy Thrash's trailer. Thankfully no one was injured.
Returning to green, Miller would remain undeterred for his 10th career victory with the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints. Morgan Turpen crossed second with Terry Gray in tow. Joey Schmidt and Kyle Amerson made the top-five. Jake Knight, Butch David, Shane Morgan, Nick Snyder, and Tristan Lee completed the top-ten.
The Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints hit the road to Florida and Milton's Southern Raceway for a two-night affair on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3. Both races can also be heard live on http://www.racinboys.com.
