COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Gets Ready to Rockabilly

Little Rock, Arkansas (06/20/17) – After more than a one-month break the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will return to action this Saturday, June 24. The tour has its sights set on its richest stand-alone event of the season – the 7th Annual Rockabilly 45 at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

A talented cast of competitors will be on hand as they look to chase their share of the prize money in the 45-lap finale. The event pays $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start.

In addition, Allen Manufacturing has stepped up to sponsor a Non-Qualifier’s Dash. The first four drivers, who fail to transfer to the finale will compete in a 6-lap dash. The payout for the four drivers will be $300, $250, $150, and $100.

As the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man, Jack Sullivan leads the CCSDS contingent into battle. The two-time and defending series champ will be sporting the florescent day-glow orange spoiler.

Garrett Alberson, Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, BJ Robinson, Zach McMillan, Tanner Kellick, Hunter Rasdon, Gavin Landers, Robert Baker, and Brandon Wilson currently round out the Top 10 in series standings.

With seven events completed on the 2017 CCSDS season, four drivers have visited Victory Lane. Sullivan leads the way with a quartet of wins, while Kyle Beard, Timothy Culp, and Tim McCreadie each have a single triumph on the season.

The Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle is currently led by Zach McMillan, who holds a three-point advantage over Louisiana’s Tanner Kellick. Brandon Wilson is in third, ten points removed from the lead.

Other expected entries this weekend include Jared Landers, Wendell Wallace, Timothy Culp, Chandler Petty, Jonathan Rowan, Jon Mitchell, David Payne, Clay Fisher, and a host of others.

The 7th Annual Rockabilly 45 will fire off this Saturday, June 24 at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas). The CCSDS competitors will take part in a program that will include time trials, heat races, consolation events, the Allen Manufacturing Non-Qualifier Dash, and the $5,000-to-win/$500-to-start, 45 lap finale. Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, and Mod Lites will also be part of the show.

The night will also serve as a fundraiser and awareness event for the Will McGary Foundation. McGary was a Conway, Arkansas police officer, who was fatally injured in the line of duty in February 2013. The Foundation was created to support law enforcement and youth in the Central Arkansas area.

Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (ages 6-12) $1 when accompanied by an adult. Ages 5-and-under are free. Pit passes are $30. For more information on the event, please visit www.I-30Speedway.com .
