Bulls Gap, TN – The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series along with Volunteer Speedway and 411 Motor Speedway are excited to announce a schedule update to the 2017 touring schedule for the Super Late Model Series featuring Dirt Late Models powered by the Chevrolet Performance CT 525 engine. The Friday night August 4th event will now take place at “The Gap” – Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN featuring a 50-lap, $3,000 to win main event which will be followed on Saturday night August 5th with a 50-lap, $3,000 to win event at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN.

The weekend, being billed as the “Chevrolet Thunder Nationals”, has added an additional bonus to increase the anticipation of the twin events at facilities operated by the McCarter family. If one driver is able to capture the win on both Friday and Saturday night, they will pick up an additional $4,000 bonus making the weekend a possible $10,000 payday should one driver be able to accomplish that feat.

Claiming the $4,000 will be no easy task however, as both of the facilities are equally competitive but vastly different. Volunteer Speedway is a high banked speed plant that will push man and machine to the limits lap after lap. 411 Motor Speedway is a unique shaped oval that will feature slicked off and slower speeds, that will require skill and precision to make the right moves in the tight quarters racing. “I am really excited to see the drivers tackle both race tracks because of the difference between the two. The side-by-side racing that the Chevy Super Series brings is something I am looking forward to showcasing to new fans at Volunteer Speedway, and then providing our loyal 411 Motor Speedway fans with an awesome show that they have come to know when the series rolls into town,” stated track promoter Mitch McCarter. “This will test the driver’s ability to adjust their cars as well as themselves with the difference between the two tracks, and I believe this will be two of the best shows of the season at each place.”

Competitors in the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series have a unique opportunity should they be able to capture the win both nights and claim the bonus. They will have won enough money in one weekend to cover the cost of a brand new Chevrolet Performance CT 525 engine. With rising costs abound in the racing world, there are few opportunities to win enough money in a season to compete in the Super Late Model ranks and to be able to have the opportunity to cover the cost of an engine in one weekend is rare. Many of the competitors running the series have raced multiple seasons with their current engines meaning that the weekend could provide a huge relief to a racer’s budget.

“We are excited to be making the trip to Volunteer Speedway on Friday night August 4th, and we always anticipate our next trip to 411 Motor Speedway. The McCarter family, along with Rick Brooks, Joe Byrd, and the entire staff at both tracks are some of the best in the business and when you visit and see the quality show that they put on you will feel the same,” stated CEO and Founder Mike Vaughn. “Our drivers love visiting 411 Motor Speedway and with the opportunity to take the Chevy Super Series to the high banks at Volunteer Speedway this weekend will be one that you will not want to miss!”
