For Immediate Release FOUR FOR THE ROAD McKENZIE, Tenn. (April 20, 2017) – The holiday weekend was a big one for J&J Auto Racing teams, as records were touched, streaks were established and checkered flags were claimed for the first time by four drivers in as many states and racing series. To the victors go the spoils, as with little more than four months into the racing season, the McKenzie, Tenn., based manufacturer has nearly forty wins to its credit. Sam Hafertepe, Jr., has started the 2017 season with a bang as he earned his fifth straight American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Division win at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia on April 15. Tying the previous record for consecutive series wins, Hafertepe will look to re-establish the mark this coming weekend at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas. Morgan Turpen made an impressive sweep of the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) weekend at Flomaton (Ala.) Speedway to not only win back-to-back feature events but her third of the season. In Saturday’s event finale on April 15, Turpen started from the pole and led wire-to-wire in the 30-lap feature to take the win. Her car owner and crew chief, Terry Gray, followed her to the line in fifth place. Jared Horstman scored J&J’s first victory of the weekend on Friday, April 14, at Limaland (Ohio) Motorsports Park against the NRA Sprint Invaders and Great Lakes Super Sprints Series in a co-sanctioned event. Grabbing the lead on lap five, Horstman survived several restarts to earn the win. Tyler Drueke wrapped up the weekend with an icebreaker win at Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, Neb., on April 15. Taking the lead on lap one from a front row starting position, Drueke drove his family owned No. 12 to the win in the feature event.
