Jesse Lowe Lands Podium Finish in Crate Nationals

Crossville, Tennessee (11/08/17) – Jesse Lowe raced his Xtreme Pressure Washing #5j Hampton Backhoe Service/ CVR/ Eagle Racing Engine Late Model to a podium finish in the inaugural Crate Nationals on Saturday evening.

Saturday night found Jesse Lowe in action at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee), competing against a stout field of 36 Crate Late Models in the inaugural Crate Nationals. After qualifying third fastest in qualifying, Lowe stormed to a heat race victory, positioning him third on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win A-Main.

Racing in the Top 5 throughout the 51-lapper, Jesse Lowe notched a third-place finish behind Logan Roberson and Cory Hedgecock with Vic Hill and Drew Kennedy completing the Top-5 finishers.

“We were set up for longer green flag runs in the feature, but it seemed like every time that we got rolling that a caution would fly,” Lowe recounted. “Overall though, it was a great night for us. We got our CVR Race Car back to where we needed to be. To run third to two of the best in the business is a win for us.”

He concluded by saying with a laugh, “I mean the Top-3 finishers combined have 67 wins on the season.”

Devin Dixon Rallies for Top-5 Finish in the Southern 100

Ocala, Florida (11/08/17) – It was an up-and-down weekend at the Southern 100 for Devin Dixon in the Big Frog Motorsports #58 Dave’s Towing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model. However, by the time that the final checkered flag dropped the Florida racer had registered a strong Top-5 finish.

“We were fast, when we unloaded, and had a real good qualifying lap,” Dixon said. “Unfortunately, we had a bad start in the heat race, and on a track where passing was difficult we ended up 4th, which pinned us deep in the feature starting grid. There’s no quit in this team though and we were able to turn it around into a great run and finish on Saturday.”

Devin Dixon traveled to Southern Raceway (Milton, Florida) on Friday night, piloting the Dave’s Towing #58 Crate Late Model in the preliminary round of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series-sanctioned Southern 100.

With 34 Crate Late Models on hand for the two-day event in his home state, Dixon followed up the fastest time in his qualifying group with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. Earning the 16th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday evening, Devin overcame the rubbered-up track conditions and streaked through the field 12 spots to place fourth behind Kyle Bronson, Walker Arthur, and Travis Pennington with Mark Whitener finish 5th.
