Cotton Pickin’ 100 Up Next For Billy Moyer Jr.
Batesville, Arkansas (11/03/09) –Billy Moyer Jr. is set to invade Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi this weekend in his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
Billy made the last minute decision last Saturday, October 31st to invade Tri State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma for the $2,000 to win M.A.R.S. Super Late Model tour event. After starting 12th in the feature, Moyer Jr. advanced to an 8th place finish on a locked-down, one groove race track.
This weekend, November 5th-7th Jr. Motorsports will travel to one of Billy’s favorite tracks as they enter the 6th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin’ 100. Moyer Jr. had a strong car for the 2008 edition of the event, but contact from a spun car on the first lap of his heat race put him behind the eight ball for the entire weekend, and he fell just short of qualifying for the main event. Billy will be looking for redemption in this year’s event, which boats a $15,000 to win/$1,000 to start purse for the 100 lap affair. An Open Practice Session will be held on Thursday night. Group qualifications and heat races will be held on Friday night with Saturday night playing host to b-mains and the feature event. For more information, please visit www.MagnoliaMotorSpeedway.net .
