MSCCS Season Opener March 18th

The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series will open its 2017 season at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, MS on March 18th.  A large group of drivers are expected to be on hand with defending champion Brian Rickman and the defending Rookie of the Year Dean Carpenter leading the way.  . 

There will be a Rookie of the Year Program for the 2017 season sponsored by Hoosier Tire South with the ROY taking home $1500 in addition to their regular points fund winnings.  Drivers who wish to participate in the Rookie Program may pick up a form at the first event and return it by the third event for approval.

This will be a 50-lap $2,500 to win event with a $100 Entry Fee plus transponder fees.  Drivers not transferring from the B-Mains will receive $50 for non-qualifiers pay.  The format for the MSCCS Super Late Models will be the “Country Pleasin” qualifying to determine the top 8 starting positions for the main event.  Positions 9 thru 20 will be filled from the Cliburn Tank Lines B-Mains while positions 21 and 22 will be determined from the 2016 top 15 in points.

5:00 – Grand Stand Open

Pit Admission:    $35 Adults         Children 7-12 $20   6 & under Free       
                 G/S Admission:  $20 – Adults      Sr. Citizen and Military-$16       7-12 $10 and    6 & under FREE

2017 Technical Bulletin, Addition of Contingency Sponsor and Schedule Changes

MAXIMUM height of body—fenders, doors, deck lid etc., at any point, from the ground, will be 38 inches.

The interior bodywork of the car may be dropped to a MAXIMUM of 3 inches below the top of the doors, and must also be a MINIMUM of 12 inches below the roll cage

If the interior is flat throughout the car, it must maintain a MINIMUM clearance of 12 inches from the roll cage, to allow for an easy exit.

Stock nosepieces may extend to a MAXIMUM of 48 inches from center of front hub to furthest point forward, and the bottom of nosepiece must be mounted parallel to the ground, (NOT TILTED BACK IN ANY WAY)

ALL suspension components will fall under the UNITED DIRT LATE MODEL Governing rules that include (4-bars, axle tube and assembly, birdcages, hubs, wheels, shocks and springs)

 Driver’s seat must be a FULL containment seat, located on the left side of car and securely attached to frame. NO EXCEPTIONS

A Master Battery disconnect is required behind the driver seat in the deck.

All cars must have a fire extinguishing agent onboard.  An onboard fire suppression system will be required in 2018.

Fuel Cell must have a rollover check valve with pickup and return out the top. 32 Gallon maximum

Penalties for non-conforming tires dollar amount changes:
            First Offense - $2,000    Second Offense - $1000
