Cochran, GA - The NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series RockAuto.com Winter Shootout will take back off with Rounds 6 and 7 on Friday March 10th and Saturday March 11th at Cochran Motor Speedway for what is surely to be two HUGE nights of racing action. Friday March 10th will see a complete $2,000 to win, 40 lap NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series program with Qualifying, B-Mains, and Feature. Then on Saturday March 11th fans and drivers will be treated to a Full Racing Program highlighted by the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series' 60 lap, $5,000 to win main event.

Track owners Chris and Joni Martin have put much time, effort, and resources into making Cochran Motor Speedway one of the premier tracks that the series visits. The facilities at CMS are immaculate and after completing a late 2016 track surface change, it now features a racier surface to provide the great fans and competitors with 2 and 3 wide action. NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series competitors have seen excellent action when visiting Cochran and expect even more excitement this visit during the RockAuto.com Winter Shootout.

National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Ronnie Johnson currently leads the RockAuto.com Winter Shootout point standings with Texas Rookie Colton Horner setting in second. Both drivers are expected to be in action at Cochran Motor Speedway along with a strong contingent of touring and local stars to make for an exciting weekend featuring some of the best competitors from across the region.

Friday March 10th Pit Gates will open at 4 P.M. Along with the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series $2,000 to win program, an Open Practice Session for the local divisions will be on the card to get ready for their events on Saturday. Saturday March 11th Pit Gates will open at 2 P.M. with Driver's Meeting scheduled for 5 P.M. On the card for Saturday will be $5,000 to win NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series, $2,000 to win CMS Late Model, and $1,000 to win each in Sportsman, Hobby Stock, Pure Stock, and Bomber.
