FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Racing will wrap its arms around an unprecedented six different racing Divisions for the 2018 season. These include two touring divisions and four Weekly Racing Series Divisions at 30 different tracks in eight different states from Nebraska to Georgia, from Florida to Tennessee. This makes NeSmith Racing one of the most unique sanctioning bodies in the nation.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series is the original NeSmith Racing Touring Series that has already begun its 14th consecutive season with RockAuto.com Winter Shootout Series that began in January and will end on March 24. The 2018 regular season will begin on the weekend of April 6-7 and run through the weekend of November 23-24.

The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will begin its sixth consecutive season as a NeSmith Racing Touring Series in 2018 on the weekend of April 13-14 and run through the weekend of October 26-27.

The 27-week NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will begin on March 26 and run through September 30. Drivers at NeSmith Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks will compete for both a National point fund and a Track point fund in one of four Divisions sanctioned by NeSmith Racing.

The NeSmith Late Models will start its 13th consecutive season of Weekly Racing Series competition at the end of the month.  The NeSmith Late Model Weekly Racing Series National Champion will pocket $10,000 at the end of the season.

The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division began as a Weekly Racing Series Division in 2013, and has quickly become one of NeSmith Racing’s most popular Divisions. The NeSmith Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division is an economical Late Model Division that was started last season.

The newest NeSmith Racing Weekly Racing Series Division, the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division, will make its debut in 2018. The Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division is an economical open-wheel modified class.

Three economical Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engines are the featured engines in all six NeSmith Performance Racing Divisions. These engines are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. These engines are teched at all NeSmith Racing Touring Division events. They are also spot checked unannounced by NeSmith Racing Technical Officials at all Weekly Racing Series tracks.

The Chevrolet Performance all-aluminum CT525 Engine is the featured engine in the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series. The aluminum-head steel-block Chevrolet Performance 604 Engine is the featured engine in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series and the NeSmith Late Model Weekly Racing Series Division.

The steel-head, steel-block Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine is the exclusive engine for the NeSmith Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division. The Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine is also the engine of choice as an option in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division and the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division.

NeSmith Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Claxton, GA has all three Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engines in stock where you can buy them today and receive free next day delivery anywhere in the Southeast.

There are four Late Model Divisions that will ride on the Crate D21 and Crate D55 Hoosier Racing Tires. The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division and the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman Division will ride on Hoosier H500s.

By limiting engine costs through Chevrolet Performance, limiting the compounds and costs of Hoosier Racing Tires, combined with affordable shock packages and close scrutinizing of all of the above makes NeSmith Racing “The Leader In Affordable Racing.”

Among the 30 tracks NeSmith Racing will visit in 2018, three tracks and their promoters stand out, as they have been a part of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Program since its inception in 2006. Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, promoted by Lynn Phillips and Louise Gurley, will run all six NeSmith Racing Touring and Weekly Racing Series Divisions in 2018.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS, promoted by Rodney Wing, has been with the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models and the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division and the NeSmith Late Model Sportsman Division since each Division’s inception.

Johnny Stokes has been a part of the NeSmith Racing Weekly Racing Series family since 2006, first promoting Columbus Speedway and then moving across Columbus, MS to promote Magnolia Motor Speedway where the NeSmith Late Models, Street Stocks and Late Model Sportsman Divisions will compete in 2018.

Along with Talladega Short Track, two other tracks, Camden Speedway in Camden, TN promoted by 2017 NeSmith Weekly Racing Series Promoter of the Year Jerry Russell, and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL promoted by Brian Mitchell, are all in with at least one NeSmith Late Model Touring event and all four NeSmith Racing Weekly Racing Series Divisions.
