NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 2 Preview
Cartersville, GA - Week 1 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series is in the rear-view mirror and drivers look towards Week 2 to see who takes the early lead in the Weekly Racing Series points standings. With early season races starting to pick up and many tracks just getting their points seasons started, there will be new names in the winner's list as well as some familiar faces.

Week 2 Highlights:

• Several tracks will hold their first Weekly Racing Series events of 2017 during Week 2 which include: Hattiesburg, Magnolia, ECM, Flomaton, Jackson, LA 36, and Talladega Short Track.
• While early season wins are important to get the season started, the points will begin to get interesting as more tracks and competitors get their seasons going.
• Veteran Jim McDuffie and former Regional Champion Chase Washington currently sit atop the standings after picking up wins in Week 1.
• A familiar name to NeSmith Racing, but from the NeSmith Street Stock ranks, Spencer Hughes, currently sits tied for second. The 2016 NeSmith Street Stock National Champion appears to be adjusting well to his move to the Late Model ranks,.
• Drivers will count their best 14 finishes over the 27-week Weekly Racing Season.
