NeSmith Late Model Sportsman Weekly Racing Series Week 18 Round Up
Cartersville, GA - Week 18 of the NeSmith Late Model Sportsman Division season is in the books and at the conclusion of the busy week, a new National Point leader has emerged.

Ranburne, Alabama's Kyle Clifton has edged past weeks long leader Zach Shelton after Clifton finished third on Saturday night in a "barn burner" at Talladega Short Track. Shelton had a strong Week 18 finishing second to Tony Shelton, and will look to keep improving on his points finishes to reel Clifton back in during the remaining 9 weeks of the Weekly Racing Series season.

  • Tony Shelton "doubled down" with two wins during Week 18 - Friday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS and then followed that up with a Saturday night win at Whynot Motorsports Park.
  • Michael Blakeney emerged victorious in a 4-way battle for the lead on Saturday night at "The Hornet's Nest" Talladega Short Track marking his first win in the NeSmith Late Model Sportsman division.
