Cartersville, GA - With the National Championship wrapped up after Week 25, Josh Tomlin was absent during Week 26 action, but second place Chad Winkles picked up another feature win at North Alabama Speedway on Saturday night which gave him enough points to secure a "perfect" 700 point score for his 2017 season. Although Tomlin will win the tie breaker by virtue of wins, Winkles has had a phenomenal 2017 season and proven that he is a contender wherever he unloads his #23 machine. Drivers among the top 10 have one more week to keep or improve on their position as the 27th and final week of Weekly Racing Series season approaches.

Stacy Herron picked up the win on Saturday night at LA 36 Speedway in Lacombe, LA.
Colby Brandon conquered Camden Motor Speedway Saturday night where he picked up the NeSmith Street Stock win.
Carl Kilgore was the Friday night winner on the gumbo at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.
Allen Carter visited Victory Lane at Talladega Short Track on Saturday night during the annual Jerry Goodwin Memorial Challenge to Beat Cancer event. The win will also guarantee him a starting spot in the 2018 version of the Ice Bowl.
Trevor Woodard continued his strong 2017 campaign with another victory at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, TN.
Chad Winkles used a Saturday win at North Alabama Speedway to secure his 700 point "perfect" season.

NeSmith Late Model Sportsman Weekly Racing Series Week 26 Round Up
Cartersville, GA - Ranburne, AL driver Kyle Clifton took his #67 machine to Victory Lane at Talladega Short Track on Saturday night to claim his 9th win of the season in NeSmith Late Model Sportsman competition. With that win, Clifton has secured enough points heading into the final week of the Weekly Racing Series season that no other competitors will be able to catch him meaning that he will become the Inaugural NeSmith Late Model Sportsman National Champion in 2017. Clifton will be honored along with the top 10 finishers, and Champions in all other divisions of NeSmith Racing at the Annual Awards Banquet at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, GA in January of 2018.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 26 Round Up

Cartersville, GA - Even though the 2017 National Championship has been claimed by Nebraska's Josh Leonard, the driver added another win to his 2017 totals after taking the checkered flag at Lexington Raceway on Saturday. As the final week of the Weekly Racing Season approaches, drivers will try to remain inside the top 10 in points to receive their invitation to the NeSmith Racing Awards Banquet in January of 2018.
