Trey Starks shows the way around Bubba Raceway Park in USCS Florida State Race night #1

Ocala, FLORIDA - November 10, 2017 – Trey Starks from Puyallup, Washington picked up where he left of on his last visit to Bubba Raceway Park by racing from the K&N Filters Pole Position into the www.rockauto.com USC Victory Lane on Friday night in the night one 25-lap main event for the United Sprint Car Series Series at BRP. Starks led all circuits around the 3/8 mie semi-banked oval for his first series win of the season in the USCS Florida State Championship Race prelim. Starks won the final during the first annual event in 2015. The Washington state young gun had to best a 37 car field of entries from  10 states for th win. It was S10th and career 30th sprint car victory

Starks  finished ahead of a talent laden field including runner-up Terry McCarl from Altoona, Iowa. Defending USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour National Champion from Cordova, Tennessee followed in the K&N Filters Podium Award third place followed by current USCS National points leader and the 2011 USCS Rookie of the Year, Jordon Mallett from Greenbrier, Arkansas. World of Outlaws 2016 Rookie of the Year and WOO regular Greg Wilson from Benton Ridge, Ohio rounded out the top five drivers.

The 2016 USCS Rookie of the Year, 15-year-old Danny Sams III from Northport, Florida led the next group in sixth place followed by Mark Ruel, Jr. from Jacksonville, Florida in seventh. Johnny Gilbertson from Dover Florida followed in eighth place and 11-time USCS Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee in ninth place. Matt Kurtz also from Jacksonville, Florida rallied from a ninteenth place start to round out the top ten drivers.

Heat race victories went to Terry McCarl in the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat and Mark Smith in the Brown and Miller Racing Solutions Second Heat. The Schoenfeld third heat checkers was claimed by Johnny Gilbertson.Schoenfeld Headers fourth heat was won by Brian Thomas from Pendergrass, Georgia. The fifth and final Pro Shocks heat race was won b veteran Danny Smith from Chillicothe, Ohio. The first B-Main wins went to Terry Gray and Jeff Oliver from Pendergrass, Georgia won the second one. The K&N Filters Pole Award and pole position was garner by Starks after first heat winner, Terry McCarl drew a four inversion for high points earner, Tyler Clem.. Matt Kurtz earned the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger award after passing nine cars in the main event.
