A very competitive field of cars checked in for a mid-summer night of racing tonight at North Central Arkansas Speedway, among them sixteen driver hoping to claim the $1000 prize on the line for the winner on the 3rd annual Super Stock showdown.

The Pure Stock division led off the feature racing for the evening with Matthew Seaman and Coty Campbell holding down the front row of the field. Campbell grabbed the lap one lead on the high side of the track, but Seaman stayed door-to-door with the leader at the line for the first four laps of the event. Dylan Pinson started inside the second row and led Jimmie Blair past Seaman on lap five before the first of four yellow flags in the race came out. Campbell maintained his advantage through lap twelve before a flat tire sent him off the track on lap fourteen as another caution came over the speedway. Seaman moved past Blair and Pinson to take the lead on lap seventeen on his way to the win, Blair held off Campbell to claim second with Campbell moving back up on the score-chart to claim third.

Jeremy Russell had problems with his ride in his heat race forcing him to start the feature race in the fourteenth spot but Russell charged quickly up through the pack, taking over the fourth spot on lap six, and then moved past Cotter for third on lap eight. After getting past Cotter Methvin began his pursuit of leader Hayes and by lap ten Russell was pressing Methvin for the second spot.  As the final half of the race was recorded, lapped traffic helped Methvin and Russell close on Hayes, but Hayes was able to keep his ride out front on his way to the feature win.
