Garnertown Speedway 2007 Rules for: Street Stock

ENGINE

  1. 17 inches of vacuum at 900 r.p.m. 362 cubic inches max. No stroking or de-stroking allowed. Stock 5.7 factory production rod. Dished or flat top 2 or 4 valve relief pistons allowed. Pistons must stay flush with or below top of the block. Factory passenger production heads only, no dart, no boetie, or aluminum heads allowed. No angle plugs or performance heads. Stock valve springs with 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust valves. GM to GM. Stock valve spring with 1.94 intake adn1.65 exhaust FORD to FORD. Poly locks permitted. No polishing, porting or match porting anywhere, no milling inside chambers, each chamber must have a 55 cc minimum volume. Stock ratio rockers with stock diameter pushrods. 1 ¼ inch adapter plate under carburetor allowed. Stock 2 barrel carburetor for engine claimed. Removal of choke plate allowed. Engine in stock location, engine cannot be set back any further than number 1 plug in line with the two top ball joints. Headers or manifolds allowed. No 180 degree headers. Must run gasoline. No alcohol. Stock HEI ignition, no mags, super coil, no electric fuel pumps. Hydraulic cam and lifters only. Balancing of engine is permitted. 3/8 screw in studs or pinned studs allowed, guide plates allowed. One radiator in stock position and no extra storage. GM means - GM part numbers, any cast-iron intake 2 or 4 barrel.  No porting or polishing anywhere. Stock 2 barrel carburetor for engine claimed. No modifications. Removal of choke plate allowed. Rodchester, Chevy, Motorcraft, Ford, Chrysler, Cater, etc. Factory forged cast-iron or steel crankshaft with GM factory casting numbers. No knifing. 50 lb. minimum weight. No traction control.

SUSPENSION

  1. All suspension mounts must be in stock location and in original position.

  2. Racing springs and shocks allowed. No Hiem joints allowed on shocks. Adjustable springs spacers allowed. 2 inch max. lowering blocks allowed. No wedge blocks.

  3. No adjustable bars. No weight jacks. Added weight must be bolted in.

DRIVE TRAIN

  1. Min. 10 ½ inch flywheel allowed.

  2. Flywheel must weigh a min. of 20 pounds.

  3. Drive shaft loop within 6 inches of front U-joint.

  4. No button clutches, quarter masters, or performance clutches.

  5. Large five lug and 9 in. Ford rear end allowed. (No floaters)

  6. Front and rear brakes must work.

  7. Steel calipers only.

  8. Stock automatic transmission with working torque converter.

  9. Stock manual transmission allowed.

  10. No traction control.

CAR

  1. Any American made sedan with a stock firewall and floor pan and frame with 107 inches minimum wheelbase.

  2. Subframe cars may tie frames together under the car.

  3. All cars must have a minimum 6 point roll cage. 3 bars in driver side door and 2 in passenger side.

  4. Stock front and rear bumper. Must have a tow hook on the front and rear. Mounting is optional.

  5. If the car claimed originally came with a spoiler, a stock spoiler will be allowed.

  6. Crossbars are allowed under the floor pan. All other bars are optional.

  7. Stock steel factory assembly line production body for the make of car in stock location.

  8. Plastic nose is permitted. No wedge nose.

  9. Fuel cell is required. Must be secured by 1 inch by 3/16 inch steel straps with 3/8 inch bolts or larger. Rear of fuel cell must be at least 12 inches away from rear of car.

  10. Battery must be relocated, but not in the driver compartment.

  11. 275/60 D.O.T. tires (No modification.), or track tires-asphalt scuffed take-offs (Not new). (NO MIXING).

  12. 7, 8, or 10 inch steel wheels allowed. No wide 5 wheels allowed.

  13. Bead locks allowed on right rear only.

  14. No side nerf bars allowed.

  15. Fiberglass hoods allowed.

STREET STOCK CLASS GENERAL RULES

  1. Drivers who drive in this class cannot drive in any other class, except cruiser or mini-stock.

  2. Track Management has final say in any situation.
