Kulhanek Unstoppable With ASCS Gulf South At The Devil's Bowl

 

Bryan Hulbert - MESQUITE, Texas (May 26, 2018) With a car destroyed a week ago after contact with a lapped car, Ray Allen Kulhanek thrashed to get his No. 21t back together. With a lot of help, that work paid off on Saturday night with a $3,000 score at the Devil's Bowl Speedway with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region.

Fifth the previous night at RPM Speedway, Saturday at the Devil's Bowl did not see a race that Ray Allen Kulhanek did not win. Outrunning Sam Hafertepe, Jr. for the win, Blake Hahn advanced from sixth to complete the podium with Martin Edwards and Harli White to make the top-five.

Tommy Bryant, Dustin Gates, Channin Tankersley, Bobby Breen, and Caleb Martin completed the top-ten.

Carney Snags ASCS Southwest Win At The Southern New Mexico Speedway

Bryan Hulbert - LAS CRUCES, N.M. (May 26, 2018) Taking the win at the Southern New Mexico Speedway, El Paso's John Carney II picked up Saturday's $2,500 victory to open up the Salute to Indy with the ASCS Southwest Region.

Racing back and forth with Rick Ziehl to open the 25-lap affair, Carney secure the top spot before the fifth lap and never relinquished the position through some slower traffic and several cautions. Rick Ziehl's best finish of the season, the No. 20z was joined on the podium by Royal Jones who held off multiple charges by Lorne Wofford who finished fourth. Wes Wofford completed the top-five.

Racing with Ziehl through the first two turns for the lead, Nick Parker slipped off the track but was able to rebound from the tail to sixth. Jesse Baker in seventh was followed by Alex Pettas from 14th. Ricky Holden from 18th crossed ninth with Jett Carney from 17th to make up the top-ten.

The ASCS Southwest Region finishes out the Salute to Indy at the Southern New Mexico Speedway on Sunday, May 27 with another $2,500 winner's check on the line. Gates open 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 7:45 P.M.

Lake Ozark Victory Goes To Seth Bergman With ASCS Warrior Region

Bryan Hulbert - ELDON, Mo. (May 26, 2018) A win worth $4,000, Washington's Seth Bergman picked up his third ASCS sanctioned victory of the season with a mid-race pass on Paul Nienhiser to win the finale of the Inaugural Spring 360 Nationals at Lake Ozark Speedway with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps.

Coming from fifth, Bergman worked to second as Nienhiser led from the pole position. Under caution with 19 laps complete, the restart was Seth's moment as the Corridor Electric No. 23 bolted to the lead through the first and second turn.

Leading the remaining laps of the 40 lap event, Seth raced to his fourth career ASCS Warrior Region triumph ahead of eighth starting, Wayne Johnson by 1.887 seconds. Tennessee's Brian Bell placed third with Tim Crawley advancing five spots to fourth. Moving up eight positions, Miles Paulus made up the top-five.

Austin Alumbaugh, Zach Daum, Taylor Walton, Paul Nienhiser, and Brandon Hanks completed the top-ten.

The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps takes the show on the road to Double X Speedway on Sunday, May 27 with the Tribute to Jesse and Daniel.

Sunday, May 27 at Double X Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. (CT). Sunday's card includes Lucas Oil POWRi War Sprint Cars and 600cc Winged Micros. Admission is only $20 and Pit Passes are $30. Double X Speedway is located on Hwy. 50, two miles west of California, Mo. More information can be found on the track's Facebook page.
