Bellm to Build upon another Stellar Season

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (December 21, 2018) – Competing in a selected slate of events over the course of the 2018 season proved to be to Kyle Bellm’s liking with the Nixa, MO, racer driving the familiar No. 14k Sprint Car to victory lane several times over the course of 31 races.

Bellm parked the family-owned Sprint Car in victory lane on three separate occasions among a season of 14 top-fives and 19 top-tens that included a fifth-place run in the team’s season finale in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competition at Creek County Speedway’s “Fall Fling” in October.

“It was a good season for us,” Bellm says.  “We were competitive each time out and in contention to win nearly every night.”

It’s something that Bellm and crew look to build upon in 2019 with the possibility of added partners or joining forces with another team.

“We’re really looking forward to 2019,” Bellm comments.  “Ideally, we can partner with a primary sponsor to assist in making this team even stronger or explore any serious possibilities with another team.”

While running a mix of events in 2018, Bellm still managed to earn a third-place finish in ASCS Warrior Region points despite missing several events along the way.

Bellm’s second of three wins on the season came at California, Missouri’s Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 1, a triumph that netted the team the ASCS Warrior Region’s “Red, White & Blue” championship for the holiday weekend.

Bellm’s initial score of the year came previously at Double X Speedway as well on June 17 with the third triumph taking place at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on July 28.

All three victories came in the midst of a run of a dozen top-ten finishes over the course of 15 events.

“It was a solid year, we were a consistent top-five car easy enough about every time out,” Bellm relates.  “It was another great season for us and something we certainly couldn’t do without all the support from our marketing partners, Greenworks Nursery, Landscapes Awarded, Christian County Collision Repair, Bybee Lawn Care, PPG Automotive Finishes, Colorvision, Schure Built Suspensions, Schaeffers Racing Oil and Park West Retirement Living.  Without their support and the invaluable moral support from my family, fans and crew, we couldn’t do this.”

With 2019 plans calling for a similar schedule of selected events pending added marketing partnership opportunities or joining forces with another team, Bellm is already in the process of prepping cars for the season.

Bellm opened the 2018 campaign in Midget racing action at Tulsa’s Chili Bowl Nationals, something he would be open to bringing in the 2019 year as well.  “We got faster each time out last year at the Chili Bowl, so it would be fun to give it another run in January if something were to come together,” Bellm explains.

With another strong year in the books, look for Bellm to be another contender in the Show Me State and surrounding territories and perhaps beyond in the 2019 season.

 2018 Quick Stats:  31 races, 3 wins, 14 top-fives, 19 top-tens.

Up Next: 2019 schedule to be determined.
