Bergman Earns Fourth-Place Finish at Lawton With ASCS Red River Region

Inside Line Promotions - LAWTON, Okla. (May 22, 2017) - Seth Bergman posted his sixth top-five finish of the season last Saturday at Lawton Speedway during an ASCS Red River Region event.

Bergman opened the night by charging from fifth to win a heat race. That made him the high points driver and earned a spot in the feature redraw. Unfortunately, Bergman pulled the highest number - eight - to start the main event on the outside of the fourth row.

"We did what we needed to do in the heat race by moving forward and winning," he said. "We had a really strong car and we had a good car in the main event, too. It's just hard to start that far back when there's a few other national drivers there starting in front of you."

Bergman maneuvered from eighth to fourth place in the main event, giving him back-to-back fourth-place finishes and three top fives in his last four races.

The team will take that momentum into a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour doubleheader in Colorado this weekend. Bergman will make his debut in the state on Saturday at El Paso County Raceway in Calhan before competing on Sunday at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke.

"We always enjoy going to new tracks and having the opportunity to build our fan base," he said. "The goal is to start off strong each night by moving forward in the heat race to make the feature redraw and then hopefully we can draw a good number to start near the front of each main event."

Bergman enters this weekend ranked sixth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings. However, he is only 70 points out of second place.

Macedo Third at Faria Memorial

INDIANAPOLIS (May 22, 2017) –  Carson Macedo scored his 8th podium finish of 2017, after finishing third at the Faria Memorial at Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway over the weekend.

“We started 6th and were a little snug early in the race,” said Macedo. “After several laps the car kind of came to us, and just got better and better. Paul (Baines) did a great job setting it up for a late race run. There was a late race caution and we restated 4th. After that I was able to get to third. It was a solid night, but it sucks not winning. Tulare is always fun. The track was awesome! You could run the top and bottom, which makes for good racing.”

Macedo set Quick Time in qualifications with a lap time of 13. 438 seconds. He would start 4th in the heat race, moving up one spot to finish 3rd. Macedo started and finished 6th in the Trophy Dash awarding him the 6th place starting spot in the feature event. Rolling off 6th in the feature, Macedo worked his way up to a third-place finish behind Shane Golobic, who was second, and winner Kyle Hirst.

“We had to borrow an engine from Sean Dyson to run this weekend because ours are being worked on after a rough couple of races,” said Macedo. “That was pretty cool running up front with his motor in the Tarlton car, and being able to be competitive. It was a pretty seamless transition, so I want to thank Sean and Felicity Dyson again for letting us use it.”

Macedo has five nights of racing in six days on tap this week. He returns to the Midwest on May 24th for USAC non-wing competition at Terre Haute Action Track. Friday, he will be at Attica Raceway Park with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. Macedo tackles Fremont Speedway Saturday, May 27th. Sunday, he’s back in action with the All Stas once again at Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. Finally, Macedo heads to Lawrenceburg Speedway Monday, May 29th to race with the World of Outlaws Craftsman sprint cars.

Carson Macedo would like to thank the following personal sponsors: Shifty Illusions, Vaportail Clothing, Fiberworks Composites, Port of Subs Sandwiches, and Tarlton and Son Incorporated.

Tarlton Motorsports would like to thank the following sponsors: Tarlton and Sons Incorporated, Elite Landscaping, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Allstar Performance, Executive Auto Sales, Bandy and Associates, and BG Oils and Lubricants.
