Bad Weekend for BMS at Ice Bowl

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 8) In racing there are going to be bad weekends and Blount Motorsports, who doesn’t have many of them, chalked up one this weekend at the Ice Bowl.

In line getting ready to qualify on Saturday when they fired up the car one of the spark plugs fouled. The car wasn’t close to where it needed to be in qualifying and that put them starting back in their heat and in the consi.

“Its winter day time dirt track racing and if you end up starting back in your heat, consi and/or the race you are pretty much out of luck,” said David Bryant. “We don’t have many bad weekends and we are going to chalk it up as this being one of them and go on.”

The team is getting the old X1R ready to go. They will be testing both cars prior to heading to Golden Isles for the Lucas Oil Super Bowl of Racing on the second and third of February.

“We need to race, get Casey behind the wheel and get some kind of rhythm going. With that in mind we are looking at adding races to the schedule in March,” concluded Bryant.

Blount Motorsports enjoys sponsorship from Stowers (CAT) Machinery Corp., Arnold Trucking, Blount Excavating, Massey Electric, Tennessee RV, Turner Hydraulics, Ole Ben Franklin Motors, Food City, and The Wine and Spirits Cellar.

BMS races Rocket XR1 Chassis. Power is provided by Vic Hill Racing Engines with Dyer’s Top Rods, Driven Racing Oil, Waterman Fuel Pumps, VP Race Fuels and starting power from Go Lithium batteries. Gauges and wiring harnesses from QuickCar. Drive train components are from Quarter Master with Carbon Fiber drive shafts from Fastshafts. The shocks are Penske Racing Shocks with chassis and suspension components from TWM and springs from Hyperco. Noses and body parts are from Five Star Stock Car Bodies and tires are Hoosier Performance Tires from Hoosier Tires South.

Bernheisel Racing Renews Valued Relationships; Focuses on 2018

Jonestown, Pennsylvania (01/08/18) – With the trusty calendar rolled over to another year, Bernheisel Racing is busy both preparing their equipment for another successful racing season and renewing marketing agreements with their great sponsors.

“It’s with great pride that we announce that we’ve signed three-year sponsorship extensions with One Potato Two Potato/ Dieffenbachs Kettle Chips as well as Russ Gibble Roofing and Siding,” team manager, Brandon Bernheisel revealed. “Both of these companies have been long-time supporters of our racing efforts, and we are very honored to have them opt to renew their marketing programs with us.”

Based in Berks County, Pennsylvania, the One Potato Two Potato/ Dieffenbachs Kettle Chips company produces some of the tastiest snacks you’ll ever put in your mouth. Noting their love for the passionate area race fans as well as the professional manner in which Bernheisel Racing operates, the company was eager to renew their marketing agreement with a three-year deal.

Russ Gibble Roofing and Siding has been a valued supporter of Bernheisel Racing since 1985. The Lebanon County, Pennsylvania company is led by Russ Gibble, who is a former racer and car owner. Gibble’s dedication to the sport makes him an invaluable marketing partner for the team.

Bernheisel Racing’s Lazer Chassis Race Cars in the Late Model and Modified divisions will carry title sponsorship from both companies for the 2018 campaign and beyond.

On the heels of an eight-win season, the team is currently building a new car for Bryan Bernheisel. In addition, they are in the process of rebuilding two of his Lazer Chassis from the 2017 season. Plans for the pilot of the Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Lazer Chassis Late Model will be similar to the 2017 campaign, with the talented driver competing in a mixture of Super Late Model and Steel Block Late Model special events.

For 2018 the patriarch of Bernheisel Racing – Jim Bernheisel – will again engage in a part-time schedule. He will likely split time between his Russ Gibble Roofing and Siding #119b Lazer Chassis Late Model and his accompany #119b Lazer Chassis Modified.

As area tracks and series release their 2018 slates, the team’s official plans will be released at www.BryanBernheisel.com .
