Cow Patty and Will McGary Memorial Up Next for CCSDS
Old No. 1 Speedway and I-30 Speedway Take Center Stage

Conway, Arkansas (03/15/21) – On the heels of a highly-successful opening weekend, the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil is preparing for another big weekend of racing.

This Friday, March 19 the tour thunders into Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the revival of the annual Cow Patty, before traveling to Tracey Clay’s I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for the fifth annual Will McGary Memorial.

Both events carry a hefty $5,000-to-win / $500-to-start purse for their 40-lap finales.

“We had some great racing last week at Boothill Speedway, and now this week we are gearing up for two more big shows,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “It’s awesome to see the Cow Patty coming back to life. That event has a lot of history at Old No. 1 Speedway, and then the Will McGary Memorial has become one of the most prominent events on our schedule each year. It’s going to be a pretty awesome weekend of racing in Arkansas.”

On the heels of a win in the opener accompanied with a Top-5 finish on Saturday night at Boothill Speedway, defending CCSDS Champion, Logan Martin is the current Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man atop the series standings. World of Outlaws regular Cade Dillard is second in the CCSDS points after snaring a Saturday night win in the Ronny Adams Memorial finale.

Tour newcomer, Ashton Winger sits in third, while B.J. Robinson, Brian Rickman, Kyle Beard, Jesse Stovall, Billy Moyer, Timothy Culp, Morgan Bagley, Rick Rickman, Billy Moyer Jr., Spencer Hughes, Jon Mitchell, Hunter Rasdon, Neil Baggett, and Chad Mallett are all in the thick of the early-season point’s battle.

The Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle is still taking form and will begin to come into focus with this weekend’s swing through The Natural State.

Action opens on Friday night with the rebirth of the Cow Patty at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas). For several years the event was one of the biggest in the Midsouth region. After a period of hiatus, it returns in 2021 with a purse boasting $5,000-to-win / $500-to-start for the CCSDS contingent. Modifieds and Factory Stocks will also be part of the night’s racing card.

Grandstand admission is $20 (ages 13-and-up), $10 (ages 6-12), and free for ages 5-and-under. Pit admission is $35 (ages 13-and-up) and $20 (ages 6-12). Pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with general admission opening at 5:00 p.m. The draw closes at 6:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday night the fifth annual Will McGary Memorial is set for I-30 Speedway. On this much anticipated night, racers and fans will join together for the fifth-straight year to celebrate the life and prestige of fallen police officer, Will McGary.

McGary tragically lost his life in the line of duty on February 1, 2013. The hard-working young man was fatally struck by an impaired driver, while protecting and serving the citizens of Conway, Arkansas. He was only 26 years old.

While Will’s life may have been unfairly taken away far too soon on that fateful February day, his generosity and his spirit continue to live on. He was an organ donor. In fact, three recipients received his heart and organs. They continue to live healthy lives because of Will’s generosity.

Those who knew McGary are quick to tell you just how special his giving nature truly was. With this in mind, it led to the formation of the Will McGary Foundation. The Foundation was created in honor of Will to continue his legacy by benefiting both the youth and law enforcement in Central Arkansas.

IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, 600 Mini Sprints, and Young Guns’ will share the night’s spotlight. Racing veteran, Kenny Wallace will also be on hand to sign autographs (5:00-6:15pm) and race in the night’s IMCA Modified program.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the draw closing at 6:30 p.m., hot laps at 7:00 p.m. and racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with children (ages 12-and-under) free compliments of Bennings Heat & Air. Pit passes are $35.
