COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Texarkana 67 Speedway
Kenneth Mitchell Memorial Takes Center Stage this Weekend

CONWAY, Ark. (04/18/22) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil returns to competition this weekend – April 22-23 – with a doubleheader at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.). The second annual Kenneth Mitchell Memorial weekend includes two complete shows and is capped with a $5,555-to-win finale.

The doubleheader weekend comes as finishing touches have been put on a complete facility overhaul at the ΒΌ-mile oval.

“The Whiseant family and their staff have been busting their tails for the past six months to really take Texarkana 67 Speedway to the next level. From new walls to a track reconfiguration and tons more, what they’ve accomplished is just amazing,” CCSD CEO Chris Sullivan said. “We also are honored to be part of a weekend that salutes Kenneth Mitchell, who is the father of former series champ, Jon Mitchell.”

Heading into the weekend’s action two-time defending CCSDS Champion, Logan Martin sits atop the latest series standings as the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man. Brian Rickman, B.J. Robinson, Morgan Bagley, Tyler Stevens, Mason Oberkramer, Hunter Rasdon, Kyle Beard, Scott Crigler, and Jon Kirby round out the Top 10 in the latest standings.

Tyler Stevens currently leads the way in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year standings.

The tour returns to action this Friday and Saturday, April 22-23 with the 2022 edition of the Kenneth Mitchell Memorial. The event, which honors the late father of 2012 CCSDS champ, Jon Mitchell, will be held at 67 Speedway of Texarkana (Texarkana, Ark.). Friday’s program posts a $3,005 winner’s share, while Saturday’s finale earmarks $5,555 for the winner.

Additionally, complete shows will be held each night for the USRA Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and FWDs.

On Thursday night an Open Practice Session will be held from 7-9 p.m.

Thursday pit admission is $20. Friday grandstand admission is $20 (ages 10-and-up) with kids (ages 9-and-under) $5. Friday pit admission is $35 (ages 10-and-up) with kids (ages 9-and-under) $15. Saturday grandstand admission is $20 (ages 10-and-up) with kids (ages 9-and-under) $5. Saturday pit admission is $35 (ages 10-and-up) and $15 (ages 9-and-under).

The tire rule is a Hoosier 1350 on all four corners with a Hoosier 1600 white-dot right rear option.
