COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Magnolia State Invasion
Greenville Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway Doubleheader this Weekend

Vivian, Louisiana (05/08/18) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) is set to make their first Mississippi invasion of the 2018 season. This weekend – May 11-12 – the tour will thunder into Greenville Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway.

The upcoming Magnolia State weekend comes on the heels of a thrilling finish in last Saturday’s eighth annual Pelican 50, which saw Robert Baker snare the victory from Jack Sullivan on the final circuit. With the win Baker is now within 10 points of Sullivan as he pursues the status of the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man.

Hunter Rasdon, B.J. Robinson, Robby Moore, Tanner Kellick, Gavin Landers, Austin Theiss, and David Payne round out the current standings.

In the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle Tanner Kellick holds a four-marker advantage over Robby Moore. Austin Theiss is eight points removed from the top spot with Travis Ashley and Jake Davis rounding out the battle.

As always, no Mississippi invasion is easy as the home state contingent are some of the toughest that the series faces all year. Drivers, which include Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Chad Thrash, Spencer Hughes, Scott Dedwylder, Neil Baggett, Doug Showah, Jamie Tollison and more, will be looking to keep the top cash at home.

The double-shot weekend opens on Friday at Wesley Washington’s Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi), where a $2,000-win/$350-to-start program will be contested at the ¼-mile, gumbo oval. NeSmith Late Models, NeSmith Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Outlaw Hobbies will also be in action.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:00 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (6-to-14 years of age) $5 and children (5-and-under) free.

On Saturday night the action shifts to Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), where a $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start feature will take center stage. NeSmith Dirt Late Models, NeSmith Late Model Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks will also be part of the program.

Pits open at 3:00 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and racing action at 7:00 p.m.
