CCSDS Takes Aim on Old No. 1 Speedway and I-30 Speedway this Weekend
Brian Rickman Leads Tour into Battle as Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man
Conway, Arkansas (05/31/21) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil kicks off the month of June this weekend with a pair of Arkansas events. Festivities launch on Friday at Harrisburg’s Old No. 1 Speedway with a $3,000-to-win affair, before moving to Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway with the annual Rockabilly 45, which posts a $5,000 winner’s check..
Columbus, Mississippi’s Brian Rickman continues to enjoy a great sophomore season on the CCSDS trail. He sits atop the standings as the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 95-point advantage over B.J. Robinson. Logan Martin, Kyle Beard, Morgan Bagley, Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, Brayden Proctor, Ashton Winger, Billy Moyer, Chad Mallett, and Mike Collins round out the current Top 10 in points.
Meanwhile, Brayden Proctor leads the way in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle.
On Friday, June 4 the CCSDS invades Old No. 1 Speedway for the second time in 2021. Back in March, Kyle Beard picked up a $5,000 triumph at the Harrisburg, Arkansas facility during the rejuvenated Cowboy 50. This Friday’s program will be headlined by a $3,000-to-win finale.
Factory Stocks ($500-to-win) and Cruisers ($300-to-win) join the program.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with general admission opening at 5 p.m cst and racing action at 7:30 p.m.
Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (ages 6-12) $10, and children (ages 5 & under) free. Pit admission (ages 13-and-up) is $35 with kids (ages 6-12) $20, and children (ages 5 & under) free.
Saturday, June 5 takes the series to I-30 Speedway for the 11th annual Rockabilly 45, which features a $5,000-to-win main event. Defending series champion, Logan Martin claimed a thrilling feature win at the ¼-mile oval earlier this year in the track’s Will McGary Memorial. This Saturday’s feature also boasts a $5,000 winner’s check.
Bennings Heat & Air IMCA Modifieds, Cadillac Chassis IMCA Stock Cars, Dixon Road U-Pull-It Factory Stocks, and C8 Motorsports Young Guns’ will share the night’s spotlight.
Grandstand admission is $20 (ages 13-and-up), $10 (ages 6-12), and free for ages 5-and-under. Pit admission is $35 (ages 13-and-up) and $20 (ages 6-12). Pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with general admission opening at 5:00 p.m. The draw closes at 6:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m.
