CCSDS Hammer Hill Twin Bill Postponed to Thursday, July 29
The Rev and Boothill Speedway Still on Go for Friday and Saturday
Conway, Arkansas (06/30/21) – Due to high rain percentages in the forecast, officials with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil and I-30 Speedway have made the decision to postpone the second annual Hammer Hill Twin Bill, originally scheduled for this Thursday, July 1 at I-30 Speedway.
The event will now be contested on Thursday, July 29.
“Current forecasts are showing up to an 80% chance of rain for Thursday afternoon. With many of our teams and fans taking off work to attend the event, we don’t want to waste anyone’s time or money. Additionally, with the rain scheduled to arrive late in the afternoon, we didn’t want to risk teams getting stuck in the pit area,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “We’re full speed ahead on Friday’s event at The Rev and Saturday’s program at Boothill Speedway, and we look forward to seeing a great turnout of racers and fans at both events.”
The second annual Hammer Hill Twin Bill program at I-30 Speedway on Thursday, July 29 will include the $5,000-to-win Rockabilly 45, and will serve as the opening round of a three-race swing which includes a $3,000-to-win Friday, July 30 stop at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) and a $5,000-to-win Saturday, July 31 event at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.).
The Mark Martin Automotive Triple Crown Challenge will still be in effect with Friday and Saturday’s events counting toward the bonus with the final event being held on Thursday, July 29, when I-30 Speedway hosts its rescheduled event. The bonus program offers a $5,000 payday for any driver, who can win all three series features or a $1,000 bonus is up for grabs for any driver, who can win two of the three features.
On Friday, July 2 the holiday action weekend now opens at The Rev (Monroe, La.) for a $4,000-to-win / $400-to-start affair, which marks the first time the tour has ever raced at the Dylan Scott-promoted, 3/8-mile oval. Crate Late Models, Pro Mods, Street Stocks, and Compacts will join the action.
Grandstand general admission is $20 with kids (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit admission is $35 with kids (ages 5-and-under) $10.
The pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing action at 8:00 p.m.
The doubleheader weekend draws to a close on Saturday, July 3 with the $4,000-to-win / $400-to-start Firecracker at Boothill Speedway (Boothill, La.). The event marks the final of three appearances by the tour at facility in 2021. Logan Martin and Cade Dillard split wins during the season-opening doubleheader in March.
Crate Late Models, Factory Stocks, Limited Mods, Pro Mods and FWD will also be on the night’s racing card. Adult grandstand tickets are $20 with kids (ages 6-12) $10, and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit passes are $35.
Racing action is slated for 7:30 p.m.
The tire rule for all both events is a Hoosier 1350 on all four corners with a Hoosier 1600 (white-dot) optional on the right-rear tire.
