Rain Preempts CCSDS Stop at Batesville Motor Speedway
Larry Phillips Memorial at Legit Speedway Set for Saturday

Locust Grove, Arkansas (07/31/20) – With just the feature left to be contested, Friday night’s COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil event at Batesville Motor Speedway fell victim to persistent rain.

The feature will now be contested on Thursday, September 3.

When action resumes for the $3,000-to-win, event Mark Martin Automotive Fast Qualifier and Integra Shocks and Springs Heat Race No. 1 winner, Neil Baggett will bring the field to the green flag from the New Vision Graphics Pole Position. 2019 CCSDS Champion, Timothy Culp will join him on the front row.

On Saturday, August 1 the action moves north to Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) for the annual Larry Phillips Memorial, which posts a $5,075 top prize and $500 to take the green flag in the evening’s finale. The night’s event, which is presented by Don’s Auto Service and Holiday Inn Express & Suites of West Plains, pays tribute to the late racer, who is an inductee into both the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame. The Missouri racer, who passed away in 2004, won the NASCAR Weekly Series National Championship a record-setting five times. His list of accomplishments encompassed both the dirt and asphalt racing worlds.

Hobby stocks, Super Stocks, USRA B-Mods, IMCA Modifieds and Bone Stocks will also be in action.

Adult grandstand admission is $20 with senior / military $18. Pit passes are $35. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing action to follow.

The tire rule for the event is Hoosier 1350’s on all four corners with a LM40 right-rear option.
