FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Greenwood, Louisiana (08/26/17) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil invaded Boothill Speedway on Saturday, where Jack Sullivan outran an approaching Hurricane Harvey and a talented field of racers to pick up the $2,500 triumph. The Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man Jack Sullivan overtook leader Rob Litton on lap-28. Once out front he cruised to a 2.279 second victory to claim his seventh win of the season. His series-leading 23rd victory allowed him to extend his advantage atop the standings as he pursues his third-straight title. Tanner Kellick was the New Vision Graphics Pole Sitter and brought the field to the green flag with fellow front-row starter Rob Litton. Litton snagged the lead at the drop of the green flag, and paced the field until lap-28, when he pushed up the track, allowing Sullivan to take over the top spot. Sullivan cruised to the win in the 40 lapper with Litton, Brett Frazier, BJ Robinson, and Garrett Alberson completing the Top-5 finishers. Garrett Alberson was the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger. He raced from the 19th-starting spot to a 5th-place finish. Gavin Landers was the recipient of the Henryetta Ford Hard Luck Award after engine issues plagued him throughout the night. The tour turns its attention to a Labor Day weekend tripleheader in Arkansas and Mississippi. The busy weekend kicks off on Friday at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) with a $3,000-to-win race before moving to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Saturday with a $2,500-to-win affair. The weekend draws to a close on Sunday evening with a $2,500-to-win program at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi).
