COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Three-Race Labor Day Run
Over $8,500 in First-Place Prize Money on the Line this Weekend

Locust Grove, Arkansas (08/29/18) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil is set for a big Labor Day weekend of racing in the South. With just eight races remaining on the 2018 docket, the tour will sanction three pivotal events this weekend in Arkansas and Mississippi.

The annual Labor Day Classic will find the tour in action on Friday at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) before contesting a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi).

In pursuit of his unprecedented fourth-straight championship, Jack Sullivan is currently the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man atop the point standings. Hunter Rasdon, B.J. Robinson, Gavin Landers, Tanner Kellick, David Payne, Chandler Petty, Robert Baker, Robby Moore, and Jake Davis currently make up the current Top-10 in series standings.

Tanner Kellick has all but locked-up the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year title. He holds a dominating advantage over Robby Moore and Jake Davis.

Thus far into the 2018 season there have been 12 different winners in 21 events with Jack Sullivan grabbing the most triumphs at five.

Action opens on Friday night at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) with the Keg Towing Labor Day Classic, which will post a $4,000-to-win/ $400-to-start purse for the 41-lap finale. Jack Sullivan claimed a thrilling photo-finish win in the series previous 2018 visit. Mid-South 305 Sprint Car Association (MSCA) Sprint Cars and Factory Stocks will also be part of the program.

Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids $10, and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit passes are $30.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday the tour slides south to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for a doubleheader atop the gumbo. Brian Rickman and Neil Baggett have both streaked to series wins at the ¼-mile oval this season. Saturday’s program posts a $2,500-to-win/ $400-to-start purse, while Sunday night’s finale will see $2,000-to-win/ $350-to-start purse. Durrence Layne Late Models, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Outlaw Hobbies will contest complete shows each night. MSCA 305 Sprint Cars will race for $1,000-to-win on Sunday night.

Saturday night adult grandstand admission is $15 with senior citizens (ages 55 and older) $10 with kids (ages 6-to-14) $5 and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Sunday adult grandstand admission is $20 with senior citizens (ages 55-and-older) $10 with kids (ages 6-to-14) $5 and children (ages 5-and-under) free.

Pit passes both nights are $35 for adults, kids (ages 6-to-14) $10 and children (5-and) free.

Both nights the pits open at 3:00 p.m. with grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. Racing action each night starts at 7:00 p.m.
