For Immediate Release Southern Dirt Track Championship this Weekend for CCSDS Conway, Arkansas (09/10/19) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil enters new territory this weekend – September 12-14. For the first-time ever the tour will sanction a pair of events at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) during the inaugural Southern Dirt Track Championship. “We’re excited to be a part of this brand-new event at such a premier facility,” CCSDS CEO, Chris Sullivan said. “Chase Allen and his staff have been busting their tails to create this race, and we are excited to add a new, signature event to our schedule.” Heading into the weekend the point’s battle atop the series’ standings has tightened. Tony Jackson Jr. holds a 57-marker advantage over Timothy Culp for the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man spot. Kyle Beard, B.J. Robinson, Morgan Bagley, Brian Rickman, Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, David Payne and Chad Mallett round out the Top-10 in the current standings. Scott Crigler holds a dominating advantage over Chad Mallett in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle. The inaugural Southern Dirt Track Championship is set for this weekend – September 12-14 – at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway. An open practice session is scheduled for Thursday – Saturday, September 12-15. Action opens on Friday night with a $3,500-to-win/ $350-to-start, 30-lap feature, while Saturday’s program posted a $7,000-to-wi/ $500-to-start, 50-lap race.
