Chris Brown Bests CCSDS Field in Southern Dirt Track Championship Finale
Sixth Annual Lucas Oil Fall Nationals Up Next
Justin, Texas (09/14/19) – Making just his second Dirt Late Model start of the season on Saturday night, Texas native Chris Brown streaked to the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil victory during the finale for the inaugural Southern Dirt Track Championship at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway.
His first-career series win was worth $7,000.
The Spring, Texas racer surged past New Vision Graphics Pole Sitter, Timothy Culp to the lead just before midway point of the finale. He went on to drive away from the field to bag the triumph. Friday night’s winner Cade Dillard crossed the finish line in the second position, while Culp finished third with John O. Whittington and Payton Looney rounded out the Top-5 finishers.
On the heels of a consistent weekend, Timothy Culp has edged ahead of Tony Jackson Jr. to take the top spot in the series standings by 28 markers with four races remaining on the 2019 docket.
The series next returns to action on October 11-12 with a trip to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway for the sixth annual Lucas Oil Fall Nationals. The doubleheader is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) and posts a $3,000 winner’s check on Friday night and a $5,000 top prize on Saturday.
