15th Annual Gumbo Nationals this Weekend for CCSDS at Greenville
Two Complete Shows with Over $12,000 in Winner’s Cash on the Line

Columbus, Mississippi (09/27/21) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil feature will thunder into Greenville (Miss.) Speedway this weekend for one of the series’ biggest events of the year as the 15th annual Gumbo Nationals comes to life at the ¼-mile bullring.

The weekend’s slate includes a complete $4,000-to-win CCSDS Super Late Model program on Friday night, and a complete $8,000-to-win event on Saturday evening.

“Our staff and our drivers are truly honored to get to be a part of the Gumbo Nationals once again this year. The event has become one of the top races in our region, and the Kilgore family are great folks to work with,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “Additionally, with just three races left this season we’ve got a heck of a battle for the championship. There’s four guys with a shot at the title with BJ Robinson leading Logan Martin, Brian Rickman, and Kyle Beard. I don’t know that we’ve ever seen a battle coming down to the wire with this many guys still in the hunt.”

Sullivan’s analysis of the championship battle could not be more correct. BJ Robinson enters the weekend as the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 25-point advantage over defending CCSDS Champion, Logan Martin. Brian Rickman is 55 markers out of the lead, while Kyle Beard is in striking distance just 74 points back.

Morgan Bagley, Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, Brayden Proctor, and Chad Mallett round out the current points.

Meanwhile, Proctor has clinched the 2021 Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year title.
