Ultra-Tight CCSDS Championship Battle Heads into Lucas Oil Speedway
Weekend Schedule Shifted to Saturday and Sunday

Conway, Arkansas (10/08/19) – The ultra-tight championship battle atop the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil standings rolls into the state-of-the-art confines of Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend.

Louisiana native, Timothy Culp leads Missouri’s Tony Jackson Jr. by 28 points with four events remaining in the 2019 season. Culp overtook the season-long point’s leader during last month’s inaugural Southern Dirt Track Championship at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway.

“We’ve had a heck of a season so far, and it’s the icing on the cake to have such a great point’s battle between Culp and Jackson Jr. for the championship,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “In addition, there’s some tight battles for several other spots in the Top 10 in the points. It’s no doubt going to be an exciting final four events of the season as the battle plays out.”

Kyle Beard, B.J. Robinson, Brian Rickman, Morgan Bagley, Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, Chad Mallett and David Payne round out the current Top 10 in the CCSDS standings.

Meanwhile, Scott Crigler continues to hold a commanding lead in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle over Chad Mallett.

This weekend the championship battle will see a curveball tossed its way, when the tour rolls into Lucas Oil Speedway for the sixth annual Lucas Oil Fall Nationals. The weekend will be co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). As a result, another talented cast of competitors will be battling for wins and will make it that much tougher for Culp and Jackson Jr. to accumulate precious championship points.

Crane, Missouri’s Will Vaught currently leads the standings over Wisconsin’s Mitch McGrath. Logan Martin, Joseph Gorby, and Chad Simpson complete the Top 5 in the current Lucas Oil MLRA standings. The weekend’s races mark the season finale for the Missouri-based tour.

Due to inclement weather forecasted for Friday, the weekend’s docket has been shifted to Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13.

Both days will still feature complete shows with Saturday taking center stage, featuring time trial qualifying and a $5,000-To-Win, 50-lap finale which also pays $500-To-Start.  Sundays $3,000-To-Win, 40 lapper will replace the original Friday night event, and will line up based on the MLRA passing points system.

On both days gates open at 1:00 p.m. with hot laps at 3:30 p.m. and racing action at 4:00 p.m. The USRA B-Mods Clash of Champions prelim action will accompany Saturday’s program, while the $3,000-To-Win finale is scheduled for Sunday evening.

Adult grandstand admission on Saturday is $20 with senior citizens and military $17 with children (ages 6-15) $10 and kids (ages 5-and-under) free. A family pass is available for $50.

Adult grandstand admission on Sunday is $15 with senior citizens and military $12 with children (ages 6-15) $5 and kids (ages 5-and-under) free. A family pass is available for $35.
