COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Lone Star Turkey Nationals

Beebe, Arkansas (11/19/18) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil will bring the curtain down on their 2018 campaign this Saturday with the annual Lone Star Turkey Nationals at Lone Star Speedway.

“It’s been another great 2018 season for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil, and we are looking forward to returning to Lone Star Speedway this Saturday for our finale,” said CCSDS CEO Chris Ellis. “We’ve had some really great shows at Lone Star Speedway, and there’s some really nice money on the line this weekend.”

As the tour prepares for the $5,000-to-win affair at the Hafertepe family-owned, 3/8-mile oval, Jack Sullivan has already clinched an unprecedented fourth CCSDS title. As the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man, he heads into this weekend looking for his sixth series win of 2018.

He’ll be joined by a talented cast of series regulars including B.J. Robinson, Hunter Rasdon, Gavin Landers, Tanner Kellick, David Payne, and more

Kellick has already clinched the 2018 Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year title.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series now has a single event remaining on the 2018 schedule. They’ll put a wrap on the season with a trip to Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) this Saturday, November 24 for the annual Lone Star Turkey Nationals, which will post a $5,000 winner’s check as the series’ competitors race without their roofs at the 3/8-mile oval. The finale will pay $500 to start. Non-qualifiers will receive $150. Timothy Culp picked up the event win in 2017.

The CCSDS Super Late Model tire rule for the event is Hoosier 1350 on all four corners anytime with a Hoosier 40/ WRS 55 right rear option for the feature only.

Also, in action are Modifieds ($1,200-to-win/ $100-to-start), Factory Stocks ($500-to-win/ $40-to-start), Limited Modifieds ($700-to-win/ $60-to-start) and FWD 4-Cylinders ($200-to-win/ $30-to-start).

Action fires off Saturday, November 24t at 2 p.m. The Pit Gate will open at 11 a.m., while the main grandstand area will open at 1 p.m. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 1:15 p.m, with a driver's meeting set for 1:45 p.m. Track packing and Hot laps are slated immediately following the short pit meeting, with racing action to follow.

Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) is just $20 Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $15. All pit passes for all ages are $35.

FAN BONU$: The track will be offering their popular Family Pass for this event. It includes two adult age tickets (ages 12 and up) and up to four kid’s tickets (ages 11 and under) all for $40 – a potential savings of $20!

There is also an open practice set for Friday night, November 23rd from 7 p.m. -10 p.m. for any, and all, dirt oval track racing divisions. Pit passes for all ages are $15. Grandstands are free (but you must buy a pit pass for pit access).
