CCSDS Championship Battle Set For LoneStar Showdown
$5,000-To-Win, Season Finale this Saturday at LoneStar Speedway

Conway, Arkansas (11/26/19) – And then there was just one race to decide a champion. Such is the case for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil. The tour roars to life for one final time in 2019 this Saturday, November 30 at LoneStar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas).

The annual Topless Turkey Nationals posts a $5,000 winner’s check, but perhaps even more important it determines the outcome of the 2019 CCSDS Championship race.

“This has been a great year for the tour, and Timothy [Culp] and Tony [Jackson Jr.] have had a heck of a battle for the championship,” said first-year CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan. “Not only have these two drivers had a great battle for the title, but our whole series has an exceptional year. We have so many great racers, tracks, sponsors and fans, who support us. Moving into the future, I couldn’t be excited about what is in store for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series.”

Jackson Jr. grabbed the point lead at the start of the 2019 campaign with a season-opening win in late March. The Missouri racer held onto the top spot in the standings until Culp capitalized on a strong Southern Dirt Track Championship weekend at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in mid-September to take over the lead in the championship battle.

As the tour heads into the season finale this Saturday, Timothy Culp holds a 23-marker advantage over Tony Jackson Jr. for the point’s lead. Brian Rickman, B.J. Robinson, Morgan Bagley, Kyle Beard, Hunter Rasdon, Scott Crigler, Chad Mallett, and David Payne round out the Top-10 in the standings.

Crigler has clinched the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year Championship over Chad Mallett.

The Topless Turkey Nationals on Saturday, November 30 posts a $5,000-to-win/ $500-to-start purse. Modifieds ($1,200-to-win), Limited Modifieds ($700-to-win), Factory Stocks ($600-to-win), and FWD 4-Cylinders ($225-to-win) are all part of the program.

Pit gates open at 10:30 a.m. with the draw ending at 1:30 p.m. and hot laps at 2:00 p.m. Time trials are set for 3:00 p.m. with racing action to follow.

Adult grandstand admission is $20 with seniors and veterans $17, children (ages 5-11) $5 and kids (ages 4-and-under) free. Pit passes are $35.
