(CARTERSVILLE, GA) - The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series along with Volunteer Speedway and 411 Motor Speedway is excited for the next events on the 2017 touring schedule for the Super Late Model Series featuring Dirt Late Models powered by the Chevrolet Performance CT 525 engine. After a lengthy break to take shelter from the summer heat we get cranked back up this weekend with the "Chevrolet Thunder Nationals". This Friday night August 4th the series will make its first ever appearance at "The Gap" – Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN featuring a 50-lap, $3,000 to win main event which will be followed on Saturday night August 5th with a 50-lap, $3,000 to win event at “Tennessee’s Action Track” 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN.

Volunteer Speedway, located in the East Tennessee town of Bulls Gap, will experience the excitement that is the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series for the first time on Friday evening where there is a lot of anticipation for the debut of the series tackling the high banks there. Then we return to the track that many of the competitors cite as one of their favorite stops on the schedule and where the series has already had one magnificent event in March at the 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, which is just about an hour from Volunteer Speedway. Cory Hedgecock was the winner of the March event and is tied for 2nd in the National points behind Florida driver Devin Dixon who leads the points coming into the weekend.

This weekend, being billed as the "Chevrolet Thunder Nationals", has added an additional bonus to increase the anticipation of the twin events at both facilities operated by the McCarter family. If one driver can capture the win on both Friday and Saturday night, they will pick up an additional $4,000 bonus making the weekend a possible $10,000 payday.

"I am really excited to see the drivers tackle both race tracks because of the difference between the two. The side-by-side racing that the Chevy Super Series brings is something I am looking forward to showcasing to new fans at Volunteer Speedway, and then providing our loyal 411 Motor Speedway fans with an awesome show that they have come to know when the series rolls into town," stated track promoter Mitch McCarter. "This will test the driver's ability to adjust their cars as well as themselves with the difference between the two tracks, and I believe this will be two of the best shows of the season at each place."

"We are excited to be making the trip to Volunteer Speedway on Friday night August 4th, and we always anticipate our next trip to 411 Motor Speedway. The McCarter family, along with Rick Brooks, Joe Byrd, and the entire staff at both tracks are some of the best in the business and when you visit and see the quality show that they put on you will feel the same," stated CEO and Founder Mike Vaughn. "Our drivers love visiting 411 Motor Speedway and with the opportunity to take the Chevy Super Series to the high banks at Volunteer Speedway this weekend will be one that you will not want to miss!"
