TYLER CLEM LEADS VP RACING FUELS YOUNG GUN POINTS

              CARTERSVILLE, GA – Tyler Clem of Reddick, FL leads the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series point standings for Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model drivers 18 years of age and younger. The 16-year-old driver has 134 points after two top five finishes and leading 24 laps of competition in three starts driving the M&W Transport Rocket.

              Clem was one of the top competitors in last week’s Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week as a part of the 8th Annual Bubba Army Winternationals at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL. Clem finished fourth on Tuesday night in the 40-lap main event, and then fifth in Friday night’s 40-lap race.

              On Saturday night, Clem started on the outside front row for the $10,000-to-win 100-lap 15th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race and led the first 25 laps. Clem had mechanical issues and called it a night after 74 laps, finishing 15th in the 25-car field. Clem was the second fastest qualifier on both Friday and Saturday nights, and he also won a heat race on Saturday night.

              Clay Harris of Jupiter, FL is second in the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series standings with 130 points after a top five finish and two top ten finishes in three starts at Bubba Raceway Park. The 17-year-old driver finished eighth on Friday night, and he drove the Dunnrite Construction Rocket to a fifth-place finish on Saturday night in the World Championship Race.

              Trevor Taylor, 17, of Zellwood, FL is third in the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series standings with 107 points after two main event starts in three races at Bubba Raceway Park driving the Hooper’s Landscape and Nursery Rocket. Dusty Sparkman, 17, of Micanopy, FL is fourth with 91 points with one main event start in the Custom Pools Special in three races at Bubba Raceway Park.

              Parker Martin, 14, of McIntyre, GA is fifth in the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series standings with 66 points after one main event start in two races at Bubba Raceway Park. Martin drove the Vaden Automotive Longhorn to a tenth-place finish in the World Championship Race on Saturday night.

              Peyton Walker of Paducah, KY is the youngest of the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge Series drivers at 13-years-old. Walker is sixth with 62 points after starting the season opener driving the Travis Construction Rocket on January 6 at the 28th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

              The next two events for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will be Rounds 5 and 6 at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA. This Friday night, Cochran Motor Speedway will present a $2,000-to-win 40-lap main event, and Saturday night, it will be a $2,500-to-win 50-lap main event.
