NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS WEEKLY RACING SERIES STREET STOCK WEEK 11 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 11 brought the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock season to the halfway point with Dannon LaCoste of Theriot, LA on top of the point standings. LaCoste has 510 points and has reached the 11-week point of his season. 

              LaCoste will now be trying to replace the lowest Weekly point score of his best 11 with a higher one. Beginning with Week 12 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock action, LaCoste will be trying to net on a 41. All of the other drivers in the Top 10 of the standings still have one more week to earn full points.

              Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

              The 2018 Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is second in the standings with 482 points. Idom drove the Tri-State Rock and Rails Special powered by an economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to a 40-point win on Saturday night at Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, AL. It was Idom’s ninth win of the season.

            Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is third with 481 points and Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS is fourth in the standings with 476 points.  Kaleb Vandygriff of Mount Pleasant, TN is fifth in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock standings with 446 points and Gary Tucker of Fayetteville, TN is sixth with 444 points. 

Landon Jackson of Norco, LA is seventh with 435 points and Clayton Kilgore of Greenville, MS is eighth in the National standings with 430 points. J.R. Brown of Calera, AL is ninth with 424 points and Noel Bailey of Lacy Springs, AL rounds out the top ten of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock standings with 421 points.

              Week 11 for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division was a busy one with 11 races on the schedule of events. Six of those races were points paying Qualifying Races for the 8th Annual Southern Street Stock Nationals at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS with three on Thursday night, and three on Friday night.

              The three Thursday night winners were David Williamson of Seminary, MS in the WO Contracting Special, Chris Bayhi of Milton, FL in the Roberson Underground Utilities Special powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine, and Chad Thrash of Meridian, MS in the Project X Race Cars Special. 

            On Friday night, the three winners were Brandon Hill of Amory, MS in the B&H Tree Service Special powered by an economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine, Hayden Moran of Covington, LA in the We Buy Junk Cars Special with Chevrolet Performance 602 power, and Bo Minor of Ralph, AL in the Mike Minor’s Auto Repair Special.

NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS WEEKLY RACING SERIES LATE MODEL WEEK 11 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model point leader Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL reached his 11th Week of competition as the point leader. Mitchell has a total of 527 points and will now begin to net points by replacing the lowest Weekly total of his best 11 with a higher point total.

              Mitchell will now be trying to net on a 41, which means he needs a ninth-place finish or better to improve his season total. Week 11 also saw the second-place driver Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS reach the 11-week mark of his season with 515 points. Idom will also be trying to net on a 41.

              Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000. 

              Brad Skinner is third in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model standings with 485 points. Skinner still has one more week to earn full points and he has the highest Weekly Point Average among the Top 20 in the points chase at 48.50 out of a possible 50.

              The defending Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is in position to defend his title at the halfway point of the season from the fourth spot in the standings with 467 points, and one more week to earn full points. Tootie Arnold of Meadeville, MS is fifth with 464 points and more week to earn full points.

              Josh Amacher of Tullahoma, TN is tied with Arnold for the fifth position in the National standings with 464 points, and he has reached the 11-week of his season. Amacher will now be trying to net on a 25. Mike Combs of Odenville, AL and Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN are tied for the seventh spot with 454 points apiece. Both drivers have one more week to earn full points.

              D.G. Hawkins of Chunchula, AL is ninth in the Weekly Racing Series Late Model National standings with 424 points and two more weeks to earn full points. Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN rounds out the top-ten of the standings with 423 points and two more weeks to earn full points.
