              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The top three drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division National point standings posted Week 3 victories and remain within three points of each other. The defending National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL, and Chris Hiett of Wedowie, AL are tied for the point lead.

              Riddle drove the Morgan Machine Special to his second win of the season on Friday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, while Hiett took his second win of the season on Saturday night at TST in the East Alabama Truck Repair Special. The cars of both Riddle and Hiett are powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

              Riddle and Hiett are tied on top of the Newsome Raceway Parts Modified Sportsman Weekly Racing Series National standings with 149 points apiece. Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is third with 147 points. Johnston drove the Laneheart Electrical Contractors Special with Chevrolet Performance 602 power to victory on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.

              Tracy Terrell is fourth in the Newsome Raceway Parts Modified Sportsman standings with 143 points and Cody Howard of Russellville, AL is fifth with 140 points. Andy McDowell and Michael Blakeney are tied for the sixth spot with 139 points apiece. Tony Gray, Ron Bailey of Harvest, AL and Tim Staples of Pell City, AL are tied for the eighth spot with 135 points apiece.

              Jason Byrd of Carbon Hill, AL opened up Week 3 competition for the Modified Sportsman with a win on Thursday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the Marion County Roofing Special with Chevrolet Performance 602 power. Sam Hughes took a 40-point on Saturday night at ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL, and Saturday action at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN was rained out.

              Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count their best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Ryan King of Anniston, AL drove the David King Automotive Special to his third Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL in Week 3 competition.

              King is the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National point leader with 150 points, and a one-point advantage over Brett White of Kosciusko, MS. White has 149 points after a second-place finish on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the Attala Steel Rocket.

              Morgen Lambert of Booneville, MS is third in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman standings with 147 points after a win on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL driving the 72 Collision and Auto Service Special. Blake Ray of Russellville, AL is fourth in the standings with 141 points.

              Third-generation driver Ryan Wilson of Margaret, AL is tied for the fifth spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman standings. Wilson is the son of the very first Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Champion Jason Wilson, who won the title in 2006. Wilson is tied with Sherman Everette of Morris, AL at 140 points apiece.

              Sam Ramsey and Levi Aldridge of Double Springs, AL are tied for the seventh spot in the Late Model Sportsman National standings with 139 points apiece. Tony Chaney of Tuscumbia, AL is ninth with 137 points, and Austin Steele of Moulton, AL rounds out the top ten with 136 points.

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The 2018 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS drove the Tri-State Rock and Rails Special powered by an economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to a pair of Week 3 victories to stay on top of the National point standings.

              Idom took the win on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to take his third victory in as many weeks of competition, and then followed that up with a win on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Idom leads the Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Street Stock National standings with 150 points.

              Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS finished second on Saturday night in Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock action at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, and is one point behind Idom in the standings with 149 points. Landon Jackson is third with 146 points and Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is tied for fourth with Billy Walker at 144 points apiece.

              Michael Rodrigue is sixth with 141 points and Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS is seventh with 138 points. Mark Thorne is eighth with 136 points, and Dannon Lacoste is ninth with 135 points. NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS WEEKLY RACING SERIES LATE MODEL WEEK 3 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS used a Week 3 50-point win to share the point lead with Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS. Lee drove the Billy Riels Racing Special to a pair of victories in Week 3 competition.

              The General started off the weekend with a win on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS and followed that up with a victory on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Scarbrough’s best Week 3 finish was a second-place effort on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway driving the Villa South Special.

              Lee and Scarbrough have 149 points apiece and have one point advantage over Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL and Shannon Davis who are tied for third with 148 points apiece. Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN took his second win of the season on Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN in the Dixon Plumbing Rocket to hold the fifth spot in the National standings with 147 points.

              Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL moved into a tie for the sixth spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model National standings after a Saturday night win at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL driving the Sparks Energy Rocket. Mitchell and Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS each have 145 points.

              Scott Ladner and Matthew Brocato of Muscle Shoals, AL are tied for the eighth spot in the Late Model Weekly Racing Series National standings with 142 points. Tootie Arnold of Meadville, MS rounds out the top ten of the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model National standings with 139 points.

              Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL and T.J. Brittain of Centre, AL both had successful weekends, as each driver had two wins. Shaw drove the Bud Coley Trucking Special to a Friday night win and a Saturday night win at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS. Brittain had a Friday night win, and a Saturday night victory at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL in the Brittain Hauling Warrior.

              Also picking up Saturday night Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 3 wins were Jamie Burford at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, LA, Bryan Mullis at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC, David Seibers at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN, Bo Slay of Milton, FL at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL in the Slay’s Mobile Home Service Special, and Delbert Smith of Wichita, KS at Salina Speedway in Salina, KS in a NCRA co-sanctioned race. Racing at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN was rained out on Saturday night.

              Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.
