NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS WEEKLY RACING SERIES MODIFIED SPORTSMAN WEEK 2 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Modified Sportsman National Champion is picking it up where he left off last season as Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL shares the Weekly Racing Series National point lead with Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL. After Week 2 competition, Riddle and Hiett each have 99 points.

            Riddle drove the Morgan Machine Special to victory on Thursday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL, and Hiett ran second on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL driving the East Alabama Truck Repair Special. The cars of both Riddle and Hiett are powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is third in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National standings with 97 points, and Tracy Terrell is fourth with 96 points. Ron Bailey of Harvest, AL is fifth in the standings with 94 points and Andy McDowell is sixth with 93 points. Cody Howard of Russellville, AL is seventh with 91 points.

Sam Hughes took the Saturday night win at ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL to move into a three-way tie for the eighth spot in the Modified Sportsman National standings with Michael Blakeney of Oxford, AL and Chris Howell with 90 points apiece.

NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS WEEKLY RACING SERIES LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN WEEK 2 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – At the end of Week 2 for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman Weekly Racing Series there were three drivers tied for the National point lead. Ryan King of Anniston, AL, Brett White of Kosciusko, MS, and Russ Brasel all drove to 50-point wins over the weekend, and all three drivers top the standings with 100 points.

              King opened Week 2 action by driving the David King Automotive Special to victory on Thursday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. White took the win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS driving the Attala Steel Rocket. Brasel was the Saturday night winner at North Alabama Speedway.

              Morgen Lambert of Booneville, MS is fourth in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National standings with 97 points, and Tony Chaney of Tuscumbia, AL is fifth with 96 points. Blake Ray of Russellville, AL has the sixth spot with 95 points, and Tody Ratcliff of Meridian, MS is seventh with 94 points. 

              Steve Pate and Zack Owens are tied for the eighth spot in the Late Model Sportsman National standings with 93 points apiece. Trace Armstrong of Hayden, AL and Levi Aldridge of Double Springs, AL are tied for the tenth position.

              Mike Lane of Milton, FL took the win on Friday night at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL and other Saturday night winners were J.C. Wilson of Milton, FL at Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL, Dakota Berry of Huntingdon, TN at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, and Buddy George of Ragland, AL at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The 2018 Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS and 19-year-old Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS are tied for the point lead after Week 2 of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series. Both drivers share the point lead with 100 points.

              Idom drove the Tri-State Rock and Rails Special powered by an economical Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to his second win of the season on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Kilgore took his second win of the season on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS in the Lee’s Body Shop Special.

              Landon Jackson and Lee Ray are tied for the third spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock Division National standings with 99 points. Ray picked up the win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Michael Rodrigue is fifth in the Street Stock standings with 97 points after Week 2 action.

              Ricky Wrinkle and Billy Walker are tied for the sixth spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Street Stock National standings with 96 points apiece. Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS and Mark Thorne are tied for the eighth spot with 95 points apiece. Clayton Kilgore of Greenville, MS rounds out the top ten with 92 points.

NEWSOME RACEWAY PARTS LATE MODEL WEEKLY RACING SERIES WEEK 2 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS drove the Villa South Special to his second 50-point win of the season on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS to take over sole possession of first-place in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Division National point standings after Week 2 of Weekly Racing Series competition.

              Scarbrough is at the top of the list with 100 points. There are four drivers tied for the second spot with 99 points. Scott Ladner picked up his first win of the season on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to bring his point total up to 99, as did Shannon Davis on Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN.

              The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS finished second on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Billy Riels Racing Special, and the 2019 Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National Champion Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL finished second on Thursday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. Lee and Mitchell also have 99 points.

              Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN and Dustin Harris of Flintville, TN are tied for the sixth spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Weekly National standings with 97 points apiece. Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS and Seth McCormack of Muscle Shoals, AL are tied for eighth with 96 points.  Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL rounds out the top ten with 95 points.
