WET WEATHER CANCELS DURRENCE LAYNE LATE MODEL RACE AT DUCK RIVER

             CARTERSVILLE, GA – For the second straight week, heavy rains have forced Duck River Raceway Park officials to cancel the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout race scheduled for this Saturday as a part of the Winter Fest event at the Lewisburg, TN clay oval. There is no suitable date available in the near future to reschedule the event.

              Duck River Raceway Park Owner Bob Harris did tell Durrence Layne Racing officials that a race for the series and the 2019 Winter Fest would be scheduled for December. Harris also said the 2020 Winter Fest event would return to the track’s schedule next February.

              The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series now heads to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL for the next three Winter Shootout events as a part of the Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week of the 8th Annual Bubba Army Winternationals.

              The on track action at BRP begins on Wednesday, February 27 with an Open Practice night. The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will compete in a pair of $2,000-to-win 40-lap race on Thursday night, February 28, and Friday night, March 1. On Saturday night, March 2, it’s the $10,000-to-win 100-lap 15th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race.
