ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout heads to Volusia Speedway Park in DeLeon Springs, FL for the three-race Sunshine Nationals for Rounds 2, 3, and 4. Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN will arrive to race in the Sunshine State with a tight stranglehold on the 3rd Annual Winter Shootout Series.

Elliott is coming off his second straight Ice Bowl win and he will have a very familiar piece of equipment bolted on his Car Smart Auto Sales Longhorn, and that’s the Advance Lazer and Machine day-glow red Point Leader rear spoiler.

After winning the 29th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on January 5, Elliott leads the point standings in the 3rd Annual Winter Shootout. Elliott has been Mr. Winter Shootout for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series after winning the Championship in the first two years.

As he has each year for the past three years, Elliott will take on the top drivers in the country in the Sunshine Nationals. The three-race series will be highlighted by a $10,000-to-win race on Saturday night, and preceded with a $1,500-to-win race on Thursday night and a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night. There will be an open practice on Wednesday night.

Following Elliott in the Top 10 of the Winter Shootout Series point standings are three-time Crate Racin’ USA National Champion Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Pierce McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN, Chase Walls of Decherd, TN, two-time CRUSA National Champion Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, TN, Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN, T.J. Brittain of Centre, AL, Joseph Brown of Columbus, GA, Josh Adkins of Talladega, AL, and Jake Rainey of Hiram, GA.
