DUCK RIVER RACEWAY PARK TO HOST ROUND 2 OF DURRENCE LAYNE WINTER SHOOTOUT

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN will host Round 2 of the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout as a part of its Winter Fest this Saturday with a $3,000-to-win, $250-to-start 40-lap main event. It will be the first visit for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Models since 2007.

The complete payout for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout event this Saturday at Duck River Raceway Park is as follows: 1. $3,000; 2. $1,250; 3. $850; 4. $700; 5. $650; 6. $550; 7. $500; 8. $450; 9. $400; 10. $375; 11. $350; 12. $300; 13. $280; 14. $260; 15-24. $250.

The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout Champion Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN is off to a good start in his quest for a second-straight title after winning the first race of the seven-race series at the 28th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on January 6. Elliott leads the points chase with 100 points.

Jadon Frame of Decherd, TN is second in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Winter Shootout point standings with 96 points, and Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL is third with 94 points. Shannon Davis of Estill Springs, TN is fourth with 92 points, and Corey Posey of Petersburg, TN is in the fifth spot with 90 points.

Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL is sixth in the Winter Shootout point standings with 88 points and Chase Walls of Decherd, TN is seventh with 86 points. Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS is eighth with 84 points and three-time Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Champion Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN is ninth with 82 points. Heath Carr of Ashland, AL rounds out the top ten in points with 80 points.

The on track action for the Winter Fest at Duck River Raceway Park will begin on Friday with an Open Practice from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. On Saturday, the pit gate opens at 10 a.m., with Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. with Hot Laps to follow.
