IT’S DURRENCE LAYNE CHEVROLET LATE MODEL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK

              CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout will roll into Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL this week for the $50,000 three-race Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week in the 8th Annual Bubba Army Winternationals. The races will make up Rounds 2, 3, and 4 of the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Winter Shootout.

There will be a pair of $2,000-to-win, $200-to-start races and the week will culminate with the $10,000-to-win, $400-to-start 100-lap 15th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race. Kyle Bronson of Brandon, FL will be looking for his unprecedented third straight World Championship Race Trophy. There are 50 drivers from 15 different states expected this week.

              The on track action begins with an Open Practice session on Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday night will see the Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series in action with a pair of $2,000-to-win, $200-to-start 40-lap tune-up races for the grand finale on Saturday night. These three races will be points paying races for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Winter Shootout.

The payout for the $2,000-to-win races is as follows: 1. $2,000; 2. $1,000; 3. $700; 4. $550; 5. $500; 6. $425; 7. $375; 8. $350; 9. $325; 10. $300; 11. $275; 12. $250; 13. $225; 14-24. $200. The Thursday night and Friday night races will be Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout.

The payout for the 15th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race is as follows: 1. $10,000; 2. $5,000; 3. $3,000; 4. $2,000; 5. $1,750; 6. $1,500; 7. $1,300; 8. $1,200; 9. $1,100; 10. $1,000; 11. $800; 12. $700; 13. $600; 14. $500; 15. $450; 16. $440; 17. $420; 18-24. $400. This will be Round 4 of the 2019 Winter Shootout.

In last year’s Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race, Bronson made series history by becoming the first driver to win the prestigious race two years in a row. This Saturday, Bronson can write another chapter in the history books by becoming the first driver to win three Chevrolet Performance World Championship races.

The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Winter Shootout Champion Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN is the series point leader coming into the week after winning the 2019 Winter Shootout opener on January 6 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Each day, the Pit Gate at Bubba Raceway Park opens at 3 p.m. On Wednesday night, the Open Practice will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. 

The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with Hot Laps set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bubba Raceway Park is located north of Ocala, FL at 9050 N.W.
