SUNSHINE STATE CHALLENGE PAYS $2K-TO-WIN FOR DURRENCE LAYNE STREET STOCKS

             CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division will be a part of the 8th Annual Bubba Army Winternationals World Championship Week at Bubba Raceway in Ocala, FL with the $2,000-to-win Sunshine State Challenge, co-sanctioned by Dirts 4 Racing Street Stocks this Friday and Saturday night. 

            The on track action begins with an Open Practice Session this Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division will also have an opportunity to practice on Thursday night in between races for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. 
           
            On Friday night, it’s Qualifying and Heat Races for the Sunshine State Challenge to fill the front half of the starting field for Saturday night’s $2,000-to-win big show. Each Heat Race on Friday night for the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division will pay $400-to-win. Saturday night will see the B-Main races to fill the back half of the main event starting line-up.
           
            This will be the third high-dollar paying race for the Durrence Layne Street Stocks this year. Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN took the $2,000 top prize at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL in the 28th Annual Ice Bowl on January 6. 
           
            T.J. Herndon of Atwood, TN won the $5,000-to-win 3rd Annual Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock World Championship Race on January 12 at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA, with his teammate Johnson finishing second. Michael Stalnaker of Ocala, FL finished third in the World Championship Race, and will be at Bubba Raceway Park this week to defend his home turf.
           
            Each day, the Pit Gate at Bubba Raceway Park opens at 3 p.m. On Wednesday night, the Open Practice will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. 
           
            The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with Hot Laps set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bubba Raceway Park is located north of Ocala, FL at 9050 N.W.
