              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Riddler struck twice in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 13 action. Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division point leader Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL swept Week 13 competition with two wins driving the Morgan Machine Special powered by a $3,595 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

              Riddle took his first win on Friday night at Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL with a 40-point win, and then followed that up on Saturday night with a 50-point victory at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. 

            Riddle has 482 points after six wins and 13 top five finishes in 13 races over 10 weeks of competition. Riddle has the highest Weekly Point Average (WPA) among the Top 20 in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman National point standings at 48.20 out of a possible 50.

              The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman National Champion Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN is 22 points behind Riddle in the second spot with 460 points. In 13 races, Gillespie has four wins, ten top five finishes, and 12 top ten finishes over ten weeks of racing. 

            Gillespie finished third on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway driving the Rounder’s Sports Bar and Grill Special powered by a $3,595 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Gillespie has the third highest WPA at 46.
           
            Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN is third in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman National standings with 436 points. Johnston has nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 15 races over 11 weeks of competition. Johnston drove the Johnston Racing Special to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway.
           
            David Nichols of Hodges, AL is fourth in the Modified Sportsman National standings with 417 points after five top five finishes and nine top ten finishes in ten races over ten weeks of competition. Nichols finished seventh on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway driving the Nichols Racing Special powered by a $3,595 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
           
            Ron Bailey of Meridianville, AL is fifth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman National standings with 412 points. Bailey has eight top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 14 races over ten weeks of competition. Bailey drove the John’s Auto Repair Special to a fifth-place finish on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway.
           
            The Riddler may have captured two Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division Week 13 events, but not to be outdone, Mother Nature got three with Saturday night rainouts at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN.

DURRENCE LAYNE CHEVROLET LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN DIVISION WEEK 13 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA - Morgen Lambert of Booneville, MS kept the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National point lead after a win on Friday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the Rae Trucking Special. Lambert reached the halfway point of the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season with a 62-point lead over Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL.

            It was the first win of the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season for Lambert, who has 486 points after one win, eight top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 14 races over 11 weeks of competition. That’s two more weeks of racing than Mitchell, who has 424 points after five wins, nine top five finishes, and 12 top ten finishes in 13 races over nine weeks of competition.
           
            Mitchell drove the Sparks Energy Rocket to his fifth win of the season on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. Cruz Wallace of Tuscumbia, AL finished second to Mitchell on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway, and is third in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National standings, one point behind Mitchell.
           
            Wallace has 423 points after two wins, nine top five finishes, ten top ten finishes in 13 races over nine weeks driving the Toyota of the Shoals Special. Mitchell and Wallace have the third and fourth highest Weekly Point Average (WPA) respectively among the Top 20 in the National point standings. Mitchell has a WPA of 47.11 out of a possible 50, and Wallace has a WPA of 47.
           
            Heather Lowe of Warrior, AL is fourth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National point standings with 402 points. Lowe has four top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 15 races over nine weeks. Lowe finished eighth on Friday night at Columbus Speedway driving the McKleroy Motorsports Warrior.

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS kept his Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National title hopes alive on Friday night, as he drove the Parker’s Towing Special to his sixth win of the season in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series action at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.

              Eaton moved up to the fifth spot in the Street Stock National standings with 466 points after six wins, nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in ten races over ten weeks. Eaton still has four weeks to earn full points before he reaches the 14-week mark and will begin netting point by trying to replace his lowest weekly point totals with a higher one.

              Point leader Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL finished second on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Hamilton Motorsports Special. The 14-year-old driver has 528 points after two wins, ten top five finishes, and 11 top ten finishes in 11 races over 11 weeks. Hamilton has a 16-point lead over Joseph Nicholson of Fort Walton Beach, FL.
