DURRENCE LAYNE CHEVROLET LATE MODEL DIVISION WEEK 25 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division point leader Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS doubled down on Saturday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS in his quest for the 2019 $10,000 National Championship. Lee won the Week 2 Make-Up Race and the Week 25 race driving the Billy Riels Racing Special.

              In the Week 2 Make-Up Race win, Lee netted on a 49 he already posted to gain one point, and the Week 25 race, the General netted on another 48 to gain two more points. Lee now has a best 14-week total of 697 points with four weeks to go in the 2019 season. Lee will now be trying to net on 49s for the remainder of the season, and he is three 50-point wins away from a 700 point Perfect Season.

              Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS helped his cause in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division point standings at Hattiesburg Speedway on Saturday night with a third-place finish in the Week 2 Make-Up Race to net on a 46, and then finished second in the Week 25 Race to net on another 46 and gain five points on his season total.

              Russell now has a best 14-week total of 688 points and he moved from fourth to second in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings. Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL is third in the National standings with a best 14-week total of 687 points. Mitchell finished second on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway to net on a 46.

              Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS did not compete in Week 25 action and dropped from second to fourth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 686 points. Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS rounds out the top five with a best 14 week total of 680 points. 

            Cameron had already netted points in Week 2, so he was unable to gain any points in the Week 2 Make-Up Race on Saturday night at Hattiesburg Speedway after a fourth-place finish. Cameron netted on a 46 after a third-place finish in the Week 25 Race to gain two points.

              In other Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division Week 25 action, Adam Ray of Smithland, KY took a 40-point win on Saturday night at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN driving the Three Rivers Boat and Barge Rocket. Brandon Brown was the winner at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS on Saturday night driving the Brown Racing Special.

              Jason Henry of Brandon, MS drove the Cross Country Grocery Special to a 40-point win on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS. Jonathan Joiner of Milton, FL was the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division winner on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Cole Services Special.

DURRENCE LAYNE CHEVROLET MODIFIED SPORTSMAN DIVISION WEEK 25 ROUND UP

              ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The battle for the top five positions in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National point standings remains alive and well after a three-race Week 25 schedule. Just four points separate the top two drivers, and six points separate the third through fifth spots with four weeks remaining in the season that include a final Double Feature opportunity this weekend.

              The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division point leader Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL drove the Morgan Machine Special to victory on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS. Riddle was able to net on a 49 and gain one point. That brings his best 14-week total to 696 points.

              The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National Champion Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN is still in contention for his second straight title. Gillespie has a best 14-week total of 692 points. Gillespie finished second to Riddle on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway and was able to net on a 48 to gain one point on his season total.

              Tracy Terrell of Russellville, AL is third in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 658 points. Terrell finished fourth at Columbus Speedway to net on a 41 and gain six points. 

            Blake Cross of Centerville, TN is fourth in the National standings with a best 14-week total of 656 points. Cross finished second on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN to net on a 41 and gain eight points.

              Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division point leader Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL finished third on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS and failed to net on a 49. Mitchell has a best 14-week total of 699 points, one 50-point win away from a 700-point Perfect Season.

              Donovan Henry of Muscle Shoals, AL did not compete in Week 25 action, but he remains second in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 677 points. Blake Ray of Russellville, AL moved from fourth to third in the National point standings after a win on Saturday night at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN to net on a 44.

              Ray has a best 14-week total of 674 points after gaining six points with the victory in the Shoals Heating and Air TNT. Cruz Wallace of Tuscumbia, AL did not race in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 25 action, and dropped to fourth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 672 points.

              Jason Baker of Addison, AL is second in the National standings with a best 14-week total of 695 points. With four weeks to go in the 2019 season, and Double Features coming into play this weekend, Baker still has a chance to win the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National Championship.

              Baker finished second on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS to net on a 48 and gain one point on his season total. Hayden Moran of Covington, LA is third in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 691 points.

            Eaton went to Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS for Double Features and failed to net on a 47 after finishing fourth in the Week 2 Make-Up Race. Eaton came back for the Week 25 Race, and finished second to gain two points on his season total. Rhinehart drove the Summertown Metals Special to a 40-point win on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN. Rhinehart was unable to net on a 48.
