DURRENCE LAYNE WEEKLY RACING SERIES WEEK 8 ROUND UP ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 8 of the 2019 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season was a busy one, as 14 of 15 races went on as scheduled. Only Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS had a rainout. The complete Week 8 results are listed below, and the updated National point standings are posted at www.durrencelayneracing.com. Many drivers took advantage of Double Features at two tracks that involved three of the four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions to make up points and move up in the National point standings in their respective Divisions. One of those drivers was Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS, who drove the Cameron Motor Company Special to a pair of third-place finishes on Saturday night in the Week 7 Make-Up Race and the Week 8 event at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. That gave Cameron the National point lead in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division. In the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division, Calvin Cook of Milton, FL posted his fourth straight win on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Love Stuff Online Special powered by a $3,595 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Cook remains third in the National point standings with the highest Weekly Point Average of 48.67 out of a possible 50. Ryan King of Anniston, AL remains “Mr. Perfect” in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division with four wins in four weeks of competition. Win number four came on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL for the driver of the David King Automotive Special. Another undefeated driver in the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series is Bradley Qualls of Pleasantville, TN in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division. Qualls took his fifth straight win on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN driving the Isabell Construction Special. The upcoming Memorial Day Holiday Weekend will mark Week 9 of the 27-week 2019 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season and the 1/3-mark of earning National points. The complete schedule will be posted in the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 9 Preview on Thursday.
