Tyler Erb Collects Second Win of 2019 with Collie Conquest
Claims Western Australian U.S. Invasion Championship for Second-Straight Year

New Waverly, Texas (01/21/19) –
Tyler Erb put a wrap on his 2019 Western Australian U.S. Invasion over the weekend. The driver of the Case Construction #91 HDD Racing/ Tri Tech Lubricant/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model claimed a win and a runner-up finish in the final two events. Via his two performances he clinched the 2019 Western Australian USA Invasion Championship for the second-straight year.

“Man, it feels awesome to win this deal for the second-straight year,” Erb said. “(Billy) Moyer really made us work hard for it this year, and it seems like the competition overall is just that much tougher this year than it was last year. These guys down here aren’t easy to beat. I definitely want to thank HDD Racing for this great opportunity. The team worked so hard each-and-every night to give me a great car, and I was able to do my part to get two wins and a championship.

“Now, I’m ready to head back home and get the 2019 Lucas Oil Late Model Series season underway with Best Performance Motorsports.”

Tyler Erb followed the Di Candilo Steel City Late Model Nationals to Collie Speedway (Collie, Western Australia) on Friday night for the third stop of the USA vs WA Invasion Tour. Laying down the fourth fastest time in a field of 19 cars, Erb went on to score a second and a win in his two heat races.

Streaking to a 2-lap dash victory, Tyler locked into the pole position for the main event. He jumped to the lead on the opening lap of the feature, and soon began building a commanding lead with each passing lap. Navigating his way through lapped traffic after a handful of restarts, Tyler Erb cruised to his second win of the season over Jamie Oldfield, Michael Holmes, Kye Blight, and Billy Moyer.

The following night at Bunbury Speedway (Bunbury, Western Australia), Tyler qualified fourth fastest before capturing a 10-lap heat race victory. Via the dash, Erb earned the outside-front-row starting position for the finale.

Slipping underneath Billy Moyer for the lead on lap 3, Tyler set a consistent pace for the next 10 circuits until a caution reset the field. Losing the lead to Moyer after the restart, Tyler Erb went on to register a runner-up finish behind Billy Moyer with Brad Blake, Paul Stubber, and Michael Holmes completing the Top-5 finishers.

Tyler topped Billy Moyer by a mere 6 points to pick up the Di Candilo Steel City USA vs Western Australia Invasion Tour points championship.
