Tyler Erb Breaks Out the Broom in Aussie Finales

New Waverly, Texas (01/23/18) – Tyler Erb ended his Australian invasion with a bang. The driver of the Case Construction #10 HDD Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model swept the final two events and along the way also claimed the Di Candilo Steel City USA Invasion Tour Championship.

“Heading to Australia to race, I honestly didn’t know what to expect,” Erb commented. “So to be able to win three out of the four races I entered was just awesome. I really want to thank Justin Pearson, Cameron Pearson, Kellee Pearson, Phil Pottage and HDD Racing for giving me the incredible opportunity to race in Australia. Everyone treated me like family, and I met so many new friends while I was there.”

Tyler Erb made the third stop of the Di Candilo Steel City USA Invasion Tour on Friday night by traveling to Collie Speedway (Collie, Western Australia). In a field of 27 Super Late Models, Erb qualified fastest before capturing a heat race win.

After finishing in the runner-up position in his second heat behind Jason Fitzgerald, Tyler went on to claim the win in the USA versus WA Shootout, positioning him on the pole for the main event. Outrunning the 16-car field, Tyler Erb paced the field throughout the 30-lap feature to score his second win of the season. Craig Vosbergen, Devin Moran, Jason Fitzgerald, and Kye Blight completed the Top-5 finishers.

Wrapping up the USA Invasion Tour, Erb stopped at Albany Speedway (Albany, Western Australia) on Saturday with a comfortable 20-point lead in the championship standings. After laying down the fastest time in a field of 27 cars, Erb landed a heat race victory in the first round and a second-place finish behind Jay Cardy in the second round, earning him the fourth-starting position for the finale.

Waiting for the right time to make his move to the front, Tyler Erb led the final two circuits of the 30-lapper, recording the third win of the season and capturing the Di Candilo Steel City USA Invasion Tour Points Championship. Jason Fitzgerald, Ryan Fenech, Paul Stubber, and Craig Vosbergen completed the Top-5 finishers.

Rilat Teaming Up With BDS Motorsports to Tackle ASCS National Tour in 2018

Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (Jan. 23, 2018) - Travis Rilat is returning to full-time competition on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this season for the first time since 2009.

Rilat will drive for BDS Motorsports in a schedule that will include the 40-plus ASCS National Tour events that cover 13 states from coast to coast as well as several other marquee events.

"I'm excited to get back on the ASCS National Tour and compete at the top level," he said. "Bryan, his family and BDS Motorsports will provide a great opportunity to race for wins. I think we'll have a successful season."

Rilat, who captured the 2003 ASCS National Tour championship, has plenty of experience competing at the highest level. He ranks in the top five in career ASCS National Tour A Main starts and top 10s, and he ranks in the top 10 in feature wins and top fives.

Additionally, Rilat has finished in the top five in the ASCS National Tour championship standings during seven seasons and in the top 10 of the standings 10 times.

Rilat and BDS Motorsports captured a win together during the final ASCS National Tour event of last season and the team opened 2018 with a solid run during the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals earlier this month.

"Bryan has a lot of experience so we've gelled pretty quickly in the few races we've run together," he said. "We're both familiar with the sport and we know what it takes to be successful running the ASCS National Tour so I think it's a great team with a ton of potential."

Rilat and BDS Motorsports recorded four top 10s in five sprint car starts together at the end of last season and will kick off the 2018 sprint car campaign Feb. 15-17 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., for the 17 th annual Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s.
